I really do not want to use smart meters so many negative reports about them and security risk.
Do you actually read your meter and submit readings regularly and keep track of usage? Several people have asked but you haven't given them this information.
If you don't take readings regularly then a smart meter would be perfect for you because it would all be done automatically and it would be easy to then keep track of your usage.
You shouldn't take everything you read online at face value, there have been no confirmed reports of any security issues with smart meters and the vast majority are installed without any issues.0
