How long have you been there?

Have you meter readings from when you moved in and of today. ?

Critical items - how do you heat the flat, electric showers, ? Forget about the small items - lighting,PC's, TV.

Washing machine a couple of times per year, no ironing, no lights at night in summer, No TV ?

You are only using a laptop and microwave, lights in winter.

No electric showers, no electric heating, no fridge freezer, nothing else at all?

You must have the lowest electric bill in the UK. LOL

There is no tool. you will have to start taking readings from meter. Suggest every day if possible for a while and compare the cost per unit which is on your bill.

It should be longer than each day but with your low usage? at least you will see quickly on a daily basis what it is costing you.

Forgot about small fridge and even very small freezer, only on occasionally use the shower,I use swimming pool shower daily. No heater as central heating separate. Got large windows and live in block 6th floor so no need for lighting in summer months. My bills are not cheap that is why I need to change provider

By any definition you are a low user - probably 2,000 a year.

It doesn't matter too much whether you use 2,000 or 1,500 a hear. Use a comparison site and find a supplier.

Remember the golden rule - read your meter ant least monthly !

and don't forget your DD is at best a guess - use more than you original estimate and you pay more.

Which company and what tariff are you on?
What are you paying per kWH for energy and the daily standing charge?
Have you had a bill yet and are the readings on the bill actual readings or estimates?
What are the readings and over what time period?

This information will help others help you.

You can take a daily or weekly reading from your meter to see how many units of electricity you use in that time period
.Each unit on the meter is 1 kwh..Multiply the numbers of units you are using by the tariff your supplier charges per kwh. Then add 5% for vat and the daily standing charge normally between 18p to 30 p a day. You can easily see in hard cash how much a day or week you are spending.

    Standard energy 305.kWh at 15.21p £46.39
    Standing charge 44.days at 21.32p £9.38
    VAT 5.00%
    (on charges of £119.56)
    £5.97
Total electricity charges this period £125.53
Says my units is up 8%

They send bill every 3 months, I tried to phone them but no answered phone left message for call back no one called me back.

How can I get what they own me in CREDIT? and change my billing to monthly instead of every 3 months.
I really do not want to use smart meters so many negative reports about them and security risk.
Tried to email as used before but now not in use.
  • According to that you have paid them £111.00

You have used £125.53 of energy.

Therefore you are actually in debit by £14.53 for that billing period.

What balance was carried forward from your previous bill ?
