Phone shop broke my iPhone 7 - unusable state

Hey guys,
Have an iPhone 7 where it wouldn't allow me to receive calls nor record voice. Everything else was fine such as output sound etc, just the Mic had issues with.
Bought a "service" off eBay from a "respectable" Micro Engineer who runs a shop. Sent the phone off, and they returned it saying it was fixed. It wasn't. Sent it off again and they returned the phone even worse as all other sounds weren't any longer working. Then sent it off again for the 3rd and last time. They returned the phone where the phone is unusable as it can't find service. Now it won't even let me use the phone at all, as it's stuck on this error screen. They've refunded what I paid for the service but no Royal Mail charges. They've damaged the motherboard on my phone.
I did ask for a very fair £150 + £10 (Royal Mail costs) compensation for the unusable phone, they offered £45 at first and now £80. I did then ask for a reduced compensation of £100 + £10 to just get it done but they said they will only give me £80. A new iPhone 7 costs £409.
Question is, do I go through Small Claims Court proceedings? I do have the patience and time to do that and would claim for a new phone's price of £409.
Do I have a strong case?
Any past experiences shared/knowledge would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

No.
You won't get a new phone in exchange one that didn't receive calls.0 -
The repair from Apple would be £316.44.
So I wouldn't be able to claim the cost of repair either?

What you can expect IMO is all the expenses refunded plus the market price of the same phone in similar condition (i.e. with the microphone not working).0 -
Sorry for the situation. Firstly make sure backup all of important your data, if you haven't done yet.
I can talk about a potential technical problem of your phone. Is this your symptom? see the below. Then this would be a well know iPhone 7 design flaw, (flexion based damage)

If your shop offers micro board level repair, then it would be fixable, or they may have already known this issue, given up then offer you a partial refund? I have no idea you can do but you may bring about this fault to the seller ...0 -
Why do I feel the iPhone has constant problems with some chips? That the price of this phone, against the quality excessive.0

Perhaps that's a decision to be made before purchase, some say a product is worth whatever the market will pay for it.0 -
Why did you not go to Apple ?
When did you buy the phone ?0
