I drove 3 hours to feel and touch them.

It's actually worth a day off work, combined with a night somewhere for fun, if you're that worried.

What is visible in terms of carcass thickness etc is pretty much the same or a bit better than any major retailer you can think of, but far better in terms of choices on carcass and door colours and sheer range.

It's a good standard at a good price.

Same here it's a 4.5 hour drive from here. Booked a cheap hotel and made a trip of it. Showroom is brilliant, especially their selection of cakes. :D On the way back we got to see the Peak District which was stunning.

Yes. Not sure how many people really need that, but they're downsizing from a bigger house and want the storage.

Good grief....... good news for you obviously, but they'd be better off having a clearout! We've got 12 units in our kitchen, and a fair amount of space to spare in them!

  • if you want my recommendation, always buy your kitchen yourself, and get independent fitters to install. there is very little that can go wrong really.

Get gas safe man to do the gas safe stuff, get electrician to do electrical stuff, get carpenter to do carpenter stuff, and get solid surface worktop man (corian/silestone) to do his thing.

All Wren are really doing is organising these people to come on a certain day, and skimming off the top.

perspective B&Q wanted 12k for a supplied and installed kitchen off me.

Bought the same kitchen from them for £2500, spent a further £3k (installed) on worktop (it was fancy) paid 1k for my appliances AO.com (better than B&Q spec) sparky for the day £300, plumber for £300 and kitchen fitter £1000 - total spend for (arguably better kitchen) 8k

The other missing 4k was the theoretical B&Q mark up...

and they will all be operating in the same way.

Its just having the confidence, knowhow and ultimately cash to do it...

The other benefit these guys offer however are being able to finance - which of course you cant if you do yourself.

One salient point though - seems like our kitchens were similar...I 'saved' 2k going direct to a worktop guy...that was probably my biggest singular saving - so well worth exploring that.
