    Afternoon all.

Once again I was up and out early, this time for an appointment at the optician. This was made in response to a phone call from them telling me I was overdue, turns out that not only was I not overdue I wasn't even due! Anyway, I had an extra check up, bought a new pair of glasses to keep in the car and bought a pair of Polaroid glasses too. As I'm on a DD for my contact lenses I get a nice big discount once a year so only paid £89.00 for both pairs. Very MSE.

Then I bought a lovely pair of leather shoes reduced from £65.00 to £25.O0 (more MSE) before tarnishing my halo with some Molton Brown shower gel. :rotfl:

I've been to the pharmacy to collect some meds for DM, ordered her new mattress and organised my car service for next week. Now I'm heading for a darkened room to relax a bit.

Happy rest of Wednesday to all. I'm sending out virtual vibes to those who are struggling.

    Hello all.
Just got back at 2pm from Dad's, I changed his bed and cleaned most of his house. I didn't get round to the stairs or his "best" room, they will have to wait, but still I was there for 4hrs and I'm kna**ered . We did have some sensible conversations as to his future, so that was good. Normally he says one thing, then in the very next breath changes his mind, so I don't know what he wants . I think he's beginning to realise that I'm struggling too ( old age and health ). I wish I had this Dad at least most of the time, if not all of the time .
I invited him to come over for tea later, but he said he was too tired, waving a duster about has taken it out of him :rotfl:
I think I shall treat myself to a relaxing bubble bath later tonight. No massage for me though :(. Camelot I'm a bit jealous, ok a lot :D. I'd get Mr Fix it to do it but he's got hands like a navvy  and I'm such a delicate little flower  .
Tea tonight will be a burger in a bun, Mr Fix It's suggestion. I'm not a lover of a burger ( or meatballs ) because of the texture, but I shall stuff the bun with lots of salad, just to help it down :rotfl:.

Nelski I would have swapped shopping with cleaning ! I'm getting a dab hand at losing Dad in the supermarket :rotfl:.
taff I could do with being taff bombed too, as long as it doesn't hurt :D

I'm quite sad as a Brighton meet up sounds a fab idea, I would love to meet you all in person. Unfortunately I won't be able to go, as it's much too far for me and I'm not a great traveller. :( Maybe next year ?
Sending many hugs to those who are struggling. There seem to be so many on here at the moment with difficulties of one type or another. Healing vibes are heading their way to the poorly people too.
    Take care all

Good afternoon chums ,Brighton is doable for me too :) sigh... means more nattering and cake eating and wine drinking I suppose ,it's tough but it just has to be done :):):)

Hester I would phone the police its theft and a disgusting way to behave from someone you had entrusted your house to. Why should you have all the hassle, you have enough to do with CHS's problems

Hugs to the rest who are having a bad day today

I made the mistake of using a shower gel that I had forgotten about in the cupboard to use it up and last night I realised why it had been stuck at the back of the cupboard.

It seems I have a slight allergy to it It's fine on the body but when I had got some on my face I developed a nasty red rash which was really itchy and it feels like a bad sunburn on one side of my face .I have smothered it in Savlon which has eased up on the itchiness but its still quite red and sore.Won't use that again, I normally use my Dermol from the Drs which I get on 'script but I thought I would use this stuff up rather than binning it. Bad move and its definitely going in the bin

Still we won at quiz night last night so it wasn't all bad :)
kettle is calling so I'm off for a cuppa Have a good evening chums and keep warm and dry

    JackieO xx
  • Evening all. A summer meet up in Brighton to put faces to names sounds lovely but, sadly, it would involve 3 train changes and a change of station in London and I don't feel in the right place to handle that just yet. Maybe next time? xx

TA, You could get away with 2 changes, at Leeds and Stevenage and not change stations in London. Still a long journey though.
  • New specs on the horizon for me and, would you believe, I forgot to take my parcels so I'll have to make another trip tomorrow.

OL, how very sad, poor wee bag.

Hester, what a nasty thing to do.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back
