Post Office Savings total shambles

Having had the email informing me of the maturity of my online bond,I noticed it says if you do not reinvest you need to update and make a new nominated account.even though you set one up when making the inital deposit.
So I logged on to do this,in the email it states Login>nominated account >add nominated account>follow instructions.
However after logging in there is absolutely no sign of "nominated account",so I rang their CS and talked to someone totally clueless who just said it must be there somewhere but did not know where.
All i can think of is that in the drop down menu under my name where it says contact details, security, signature form, log out, I need to send in the signature form before it gives the nominated account option.
I would be grateful if anyone with a PO account could help in telling me where I find the nominated account option since their customer support could not.
Thank you.

Your accounts usually appear as a list.
PO linked accounts are linked at your individual account level, so you can have different linked acs for each PO account.
Click on mouse image/name of the account you want to change and it opens to show statement, with linked ac above & edit/add option.0 -
Soulsaver,I have done that and no linked account appears or the option to add one.
I phoned again this morning and was told to login and click on the 3 dots to the right of the individual account which should give “options”and then select linked account. Guess what ? it does not,all it gives is the option to re name account or reinvest balance.
The whole set up is a shambles.0 -
Maybe you need to rename the account before you can add the nominated account for the new named account0

Yep...did you not get the Silver Service with added rudeness, too?
Commiserations for your poor experience, I hope you navigate as painless an escape from PO as possible!0 -
PO never comes with any positive feedback from anyone. I hope you get your situation resolved.Save £12k in 2019 #154 - £14,826.60/£12kSave £12k in 2020 #128 - £4,155.62/£10k0

Sheramber, I’ll give it a go.
Repeat3times, The CS sounded drunk and as if I had just woke him up and obviously annoyed just repeated “it should be there somewhere on the right hand side. The girl today was 100% better but still could not resolve the problem. The whole set up from day 1 is something out of a comedy, and I swear could not be more awkward if you planned it to be?
Why can’t the balance on maturity just be returned to the acc it came from originally?
They do everything they can to stop you withdrawing.0 -
sheramber, just tried no luck.0

I can't withdraw to mine, it keeps saying "not at this time".
I did phone a while back, there's a "technical error" with my account (is that customer speak for Fraud block??) and I need to phone back between 9 and 4 or some equally silly time when I'm at work!
£28 in the account so not sure what their problem is, but it won't let me withdraw til I phone them even when I put a complaint in to them and Bank of Ireland!0 -
Somerset La La La
What type of account do you have?
How did you go about making your complaint?0 -

I think the "just woke up" demeanour must be part of the training! The young woman who grunted back at me at the start of a call, only seemed to gain consciousness when I asked to speak to her manager. Even then, the general attitude seemed to be that they were doing me a favour by picking up the phone.
Your experience in trying to do something as complicated as withdrawing your own money from a bank, and the glacial speed in which they do anything compared to other banks, might be a helpful warning for others contemplating PO for savings.
A kicker - I complained in writing about the poor telephone enquiry experience. Waited a month before chasing it...to be told that they couldn't find it. I've now closed the account.0
