There is a topic from recently where a woman wrote the same for her daughter in law, they rang the national debt helpline and came on later on to say how it had worked out, fantastic advice and they had sorted things out.

Debtman2007 is a classic example who would be scared whitless when the bailiffs turned up. You don't need to use someone who charges for their services.

A DMP doesn't stop creditors taking legal action, although it does massively reduce the likelihood compared with doing nothing.
However, even it they do go for a CCJ, as long a you respond with a fair offer to pay by instalments (or apply to have an existing order varied to instalments) and stick to these, then bailiffs will never become involved.

Debtman you would need your creditors to take you to court and courts tend to go with your payments on a DMP so it doesnt change much but if you were not to pay once a CCJ was in force then you could see a baliff. Its really far down the line so long as your DMP payments are realistic to afford you should be fine!0
