Three Upgrades - Can I Go on a 3rd Party Site to Upgrade?

  • Hello papper,

Little bit of advice from the inside (work at Three upgrades).

One of the big-bosses was in around early January, essentially saying that we're moving away from third parties (Carphone first, others later), because we were having all sorts of issues with deals put through on those sites. No doubt it's partially revenue based too but he's correct that a lot of our complaints/issues were coming through third party orders.

I might be able to help you out, off the record. What are you looking for, phone wise, what are you currently paying, and what's your budget. There's often some flexibility on certain handsets but it varies phone to phone and tariff to tariff. Sometimes we have cracking deals on 100GB packages for a handset that wouldn't be appropriate for a low-usage customer etc. There's definetely, on average, more leeway on an upgrade than a new customer.
