I saw loads in my local Lidl this week, at the gondola end of the Christmas goodies.

Oh thank you, a trip to Lidl is called for. I used to like the chocolate marzipan hearts they did in Aldi as it helped me to control myself. I did wonder if they'd do more of their own brand Christmas chocolates when the Halloween stuff is out of the way.

Yep - Lidl have them & I am now trying to figure what to do with my stashed-from-last-year ones...

I'm absolutely with VfM4meplse - mince pies have a "Season" (1-31 December) & outside that time, should not be eaten. Mind, I'm known to prefer champagne to eggnog just on calorific grounds!

At least with those log things they sell, if you stick it in the fridge with a sharp knife you can have a small slice at a time? Again I have no affinity with them, but that's what I would do if I were desperate for a sugar fix.

In the week I got a pork joint from Lidl it was horrible the inside was all fat and gristle had a happy dog but that’s about it.

I love Aldi chocolate cream whisky liqueur (chocolate baileys copy) but they only have it out at Christmas, really hope it makes a return again this year.
