Having slowly got back into matched betting I now need to find additional ways of gaining some extra pounds. I really need to get back into trading so hopefully I can start to find the time at the weekend to start looking at the markets and having a practice on training mode on the trading software I bought a long time ago.

More Travelling to Southampton next week so all travel has been booked using Quidco, It seems as if I always have £200 in tracked activity. This all comes from work travel, I also do not book return tickets back from London Euston, I buy a single ticket through Quidco and pick them up from the station to gain the extra cashback. This usually adds an extra £7 ish onto the days total.

I have signed up to a survey panel website yesterday following reading the forums on moneysavingexpert.com so hopefully an additional income comes from this and combine with Shoppix it should add a few extra pounds.

I still need more ways to up the additional cash, my current account pays a shocking interest rate and I have some savings so I should change saving accounts to max the interest rate

I also need to review the saving accounts and potential invest the money into a stocks and shares ISA or even into some shares. I am hoping I can find some advice and information online for this.

Continuing this week with the match betting I signed up a new account with Expekt last weekend and then on wednesday I received an email saying they were closing all UK accounts as of the 31/10/19. No pressure then! I found a close match for the free bet on the Arsenal game in the Europa League and cashed out for £7.50 profit overall.

There are still a fair few bookies still to work through and I have found a list of bookies that offer weekly free bets, I need to start working through these to gain some extra pounds.

Ive let myself down this past few weeks, I started off by signing up to some new accounts matched betting but struggled finding any decent matches and the results ended up very poor.

There has been alot more travelling for work again so the cashback is beginning to add up still, currently I have £207 cashback tracked.

The survey panel is going well, I seem to get inundated with emails saying new surveys are available but alot of surveys never work out as I get screened out. However even though the surveys take ages to complete I do seem to get through them.

I still need more ways to up the additional cash, my current account pays a shocking interest rate and I have some savings so I should change saving accounts to max the interest rate

I am still reviewing investing my saved cash into a stocks and share ISA, I think over the long term this will give me a good return. However to do this I need to change to a different current account as Santander charge £5 a month and without my savings in the same account it does not seem worth it. I need to review this further before making a decision.

Matched betting this diary sees the following

Bet UK £2.94 return on a free bet.
    Betstars £3.47
Betstars free spins if bet on England £0.99
New account Royal Panda £12.84 this site has really poor matches and was difficult to find anything close to Betfair.

I started reading a blog about a guy who uses apps to make an additional income each month by religiously using apps to get paid for scanning receipts. So i've downloaded Receipt Hog, Zip Zero, Huyu and snap my eats. In have started using them as much as I can so I will see how I go. On the blog the guy used other apps and websites which I forgot to note down and I shut the web page on my phone by accident. Did anyone also read the blog recently? if so can you point me in the right direction of the blog?

Still a few work trips are keeping the average £200 in the Quidco account.
The survey panel is going well, and I managed to reach another £10.55 so I withdrew it.
Bank account paid £7.86 after paying cashback and interest.
Quidco paid £29.47 for various work trips
Shopix reached the withdrawal amount of £20
Sold some gaming headphones that I got free with my laptop, they have been in the loft gathering dust so I thought I would stick them on ebay with a starting price of zero pence, they sold for £13.96 after fees and postage which was nice.

I have also gathered up some 50p coins with different patterns and types mainly the beatrix potter coins, which to be fair did attract a little bit of interest. I sold £6.70 of coins for £14.43 making a little profit of £7.73. The coins came from the tuck shop change that I have been collecting so that will need to be returned to the tuckshop total.

I have continued to snap all of my receipts over the festive period and it seems like the apps will pay small amounts slowly. I have not completed any matched betting over the last period too, so I need to ramp this up a little. Also I am desperate to get into my trading but I just feel like I never have any time at home. Maybe I need to go into the office for some peace and quiet.

I have a couple of work trips in January so this will keep my Quidco balance up. Hopefully some of the retailers will start paying out so I can withdraw the balance.

Ebay funds finally were cleared, which was £11.43, therefore making a profit of £4.73 on the coins and not the £7.73 as I stated in the last diary...must have been having a bad maths day.

Quidco paid £7.90 for some various work trips.

Many thanks, I'm going to need all the help I can get. Im struggling for time but all the little amounts add up, well i'm hoping. :j

My first task for the New year is to find out my new overpayment totals for the year and step up the saving as much as possible.

Still continuing to snap all receipts into various apps and i'm continually filling in surveys on panel base, hopefully they can continue to pay small amounts to the cause. I have also listed a few old playstation Vita games onto Ebay and a secret Santa present from work form a few years ago, it was an electronic note taker that plugged into your PC. Pretty poor really considering secret Santa is supposed to be fun.

signed up to two new bookies, Sport Pesa and Redbet both in which I had to submit loads of documentation to prove who I was. I have started with the Qualifying bets but not completed them yet. I will add the amounts onto the next diary.

Quido paid a large portion of the cashback in the last week from work trips back in June last year, hopefully this becomes a constant income. The amount for this diary was £85.61

Ive realised that the receipt apps pay their rewards mostly in Amazon vouchers, I wanted to use the money to pay off my mortgage so I am going to have to work out the best way of doing this to maximise the amount I can make from each voucher. Does anyone have any ideas?

I have also set up an investment ISA in stocks and shares with my savings as its not accumulating much interest just sitting in my Santander 123 account. From my research I have opted for a high risk investment with the view to ride it out over a long period. I will continue to drop money into the account with the remainder of my savings over the next few months

£8.21 was this months total from the bank account cashback and interest this month.

Claimed a delay for a work trip last week as the new west coast mainline operator Avanti pays compensation for delays over 15mins to train journeys. I submitted a claim an was paid £15.25 (this will be added to the money saved total)

This year the allowable overpayments allowed to the mortgage reduces to the following
    Sub account 1 £12,133.07
    Sub account 2 £1,068.40

So I will continue to pay sub account 2 with the overpayments as this has the highest interest rate.

    Diary
So not only did Britain leave the EU yesterday, I think I may well have accumulated the largest amount of money this week.

Its also been 1 year since I stared this journey which has gone quick but looking at the total amount of money saved to date its really going to take a long time to pay my mortgage off.

My mortgage is still standing at £131,951.46 and my average monthly over payment is only £119 a month so according to the over payment calculator on MSE my mortgage will be paid off 6 years and 8 months early which is not good enough for what I want to achieve.

I think I need to put more of an effort into the areas in which I can earn more money, matched betting, trading and Ebay.

The thing I have to remember is that the majority of money made each month is free money, only the money saved is my own.

This week I opened two new bookmaker accounts Sport Pesa and Red bet, Spor Pesa was for a £10 SNR bet and Redbed was for £20 SNR bet which had to be bet on a multiple bet which i'd never done before so took some reading and I found a spreadsheet showing how to lay the bets off one by one. Red bet made £4.92 and Sport Pesa made £7.07.

Betstars also popped up with an email for 2 No £2 bets which I matched for a return of £2.99.

Again this month I have booked some work trips through Quidco, hotel.com and booking.com have both dropped their rates from 10% cashback to just 3% which is seriously going to reduce the amount of cashback I get.

Quidco paid £39.32 this week for work trips back in October.

Panel base reached over the magical £10 which meant I could withdraw the money, even though these surveys are tedious the amount soon adds up quickly.

I sold 3 old Playstation Vita games on Ebay for a total of £14.66 after fees and postage etc.

Also a new total to add this week was my Nectar points added up to £25 so I used the points to pay for my shopping and then used the money for this weeks over payment.

Lastly I claimed a refund for a train journey which if your train is delayed over 15mins you are entitled to compensation. Its really easy to do, just fill in an online form with your details and the journey details and it usually gets processed quite quickly. This is the second claim I have made in the past month although this time the amount was for 50% of the ticket which was £75.75. every time I am coming home from a work trip I am now secretly hoping for a delay. This total will be added to the money saved total.
