I agree that matched betting is the way forward when it comes and a quick, easy and fun way to make some extra cash. However I have to say that only earning £44.30 in 3 months is a tiny amount. Are you just limiting yourself to horse races? There's absolutely loads of offers out there on all types of sports (I mainly use them on footy). There's also new customers offers out there if you haven't used them already.
I've made £500 since the start of 2019 from matched betting :TAbsolutely love a good bargain. If anybody has any money saving tips please send them my way :j0 -

That is the plan, hopefully all the small amounts add up. The main thing I am struggling with is time. Hopefully after the house move things might improve.0 -
I didn't find the Caan Berry book very useful.
Peter Webb betangel YouTube videos are very useful, lots of information and easy to understand.
Books I bought and read are The Disciplined Trader and Trading in the Zone, both by Mark Douglas. The focus of both is financial trading, but I've found them really useful and totally relevant for sports trading.
Betangel have a free trial period (14 days I think it is) so you can get uae to the interface andyou can practice trades before using real cash.
If you're not already using the Team Profit page on Facebook, I would recommend joining.
Good luck
The Caan Berry book gave me some pointers of what to look out for and I guess when I can find the time to begin to study the price movements it might make more sense.
His video pack is so much better I bought the videos at the start of this diary. I have watched about half of them and they are so much better than the book.
I think i will have to get those books although i did find trading in the zone online and downloaded it to my phone to read but it is hard work reading on your Iphone.
I bought the Geeks Toy a few years back so i have that trading software, it also does practice trading without using real cash. Its quite daunting making a start really....im sure once I get in to it properly it will be ok0 -

yes I agree its a small total but that is literally only a few bets, with only one being a new account. all the bets have been reloads.
I mainly find that the existing offers are all complicated bets and not straight bet £20 get £10 free bet.
I have already done quite a lot of the new bet offers from a few years ago, i did make a lot of money from this back when it was quite lucrative.
Can you point me in the direction of some decent existing offers?

Diary
Again its been busy, I have had meetings in Southampton and London, so again the cashback through Quidco has been topping up nicely. I dont mind travelling to meetings for work but it seriously ruins my week, a day out of the office seems to put me back two or three days in terms of getting things done.
I am also starting to believe that emails are the devil, everyone seems to want to hide behind an email. or is it that we live in a blame culture where everyone wants to cover them self with an email just in case? I get between 60-100 emails a day, the majority of emails are people copying me just in case. I would say over 50% of emails are of no use to me. The problem with getting this many emails is how on earth do you look at all of them and do your job? there is a chance that important information could be missed. What is the way around this and do people need to think first before sending emails?
I have also managed to finish the Michael Carrick Book which has been a long time coming. all I can say is what a dedicated player. I wish a few of the Manchester United players would be as dedicated as him, maybe they would be better players!
I have not made that first overpayment yet, I feel quite nervous for some reason, I think its to do with moving house and hoping I have enough money to pay all of the bills. I think I will set up the online banking for my mortgage and then make the payments so I can see that they actually get to where they should be.
Matched betting
I received an email from Betstars with a free £5 bet if I bet £10 on any sport, so I did as every little helps. I lost 60p of the qualifying bet and won £3.89 on the free bet, giving a total of £3.29.
Tuck shop
I have reviewed my accounts and to date I have spent £110.16 in total and made £136.70, which is £26.54 profit to date with still a few chocolate bars and crisps to sell. i will wait for these final items to sell and then the tuck shop should then start self supporting itself. I can then pay back the £110.16
Money Saved
I managed to put £20 away this month, it doesn't seem much, bu after the last month of spending a fortune on the New house I have done very well to save this.
Savings Account
This month was £26.51 from the cashback and interest. Unfortunately the solicitors bill is due on Thursday next week so my savings will be back down to my original £4k which is like my safety buffer in case anything goes wrong in life generally. my interest will be a lot less than this. If anyone can recommend a better saving account then let me know.

Well the house move finally happened at last, since putting the deposit down in January it has taken 6 months to build and finally move into our new home. Which is so much better for everyone especially the kids.
The next major thing to save up for as well as overpay on this mortgage is our trip to Orlando Florida in the summer of 2020.
So this month has been a couple of trips to London and Southampton again which is great for gaining the cashback through Quidco, i think at this moment there is approximately £317.30 tracked which is slowly beginning to be a steady stream of income to this total. There have been a few other various other purchases that have generated a few extra cashback pounds but its mainly been train tickets, hire cars and hotels.
Still not made an over payment yet but this month will certainly be the first as there is a steady stream of money coming into the bank now.
i have also downloaded an app called shoppix in which you upload pictures of your receipts, each receipt gains you tokens depending upon how quickly you upload the pictures. Every now and again you will win a scratch card to win extra tokens or you can also get offered to take part in a survey to gain extra tokens which i always do. there are certain milestones that get you rewards. 3200 tokens gets you £5, 6000 tokens gets you £10 and 11500 tokens gets you £20. It seems like a lot of effort just to get £20 but as I buy a few things every day the total soon adds up. i will keep a running total on this diary to see how much I can make, after all it is free money.
If anyone reading this has more ideas or would like to share to to make a few extra pounds then please leave a few comments. I would love to hear from you.
Matched betting
No matched betting this time, the football season has finished now so I think I will start to pick this up properly when the new season starts. However there was a casino offer from Betdaq that seemed low risk so I will look at the in more detail.
Tuck shop
I have finally sold all the stock. I have made a profit of £44.92 which I will now use to keep the tuck shop ticking over on its own without having to buy stock out of the mortgage fund. I can finally pay back the £110.16 that I have borrowed to date. any profit the tuck shop makes now going forward will be added to a separate total on this blog.
Money Saved
I have not managed to save any money this month due to the house move which has literally taken every last spare penny. however the money borrowed for the tuck shop will be added back to this total this month. £110.16

I am getting really bad at this, having a family and job gives me little time for me.
The holiday savings are coming along nicely but its reducing the amount I can save and put towards overpaying this mortgage.
Again since the last post I am still maintaining the cashback from Quidco each month and all the work trips have started to begin to pay.
Still not made an over payment yet but this month will certainly be the first as there is a steady stream of money coming into the bank now. I need to set up an online account so that I can check I am overpaying correctly. the bank I have my mortgage account with have to set up the online account over the phone if you just have a mortgage with them. This just takes up more of my time.
I am also continually using shoppix but having dropped my phone and smashed the camera lens, taking pictures of the receipts is proving difficult as i now have to take them using my tablet.
I would still love to hear from people reading this for more ideas on how to earn extra money as every penny counts.
I have also put time aside every friday to make sure do the reload offers for match betting and do at least one new account offer. This should also get a steady stream of money coming back in.
Matched betting
New account with NetBet opened bet £30 get £15 free bet and £15 free spins in the casino and I have done the £10 refund offer on Betfair exchange hoping that my matched bet looses.
Tuck shop
The tuck shop is now looking after itself having paid back all of the money I borrowed it to get it up and running. I will wait until there is a large amount of money to change and cash in as all the money I receive is in change and means I have to find time to go to the bank.
Money Saved
I have not saved any money this month due to the kids needing new uniforms etc for school which has basically taken all of my spare cash.

This month was £8.07 from the cashback and interest.

I have definitely made more of an effort this week with the matched betting, lots of existing offers and a few new accounts opened. It has been quite fun getting back into it so I will try to keep up with all offers if they keep coming.
The holiday savings yesterday have hit a low, As you may have heard Tomas Cook have gone into liquidation, even though our holiday was covered by ATOL and I will get my money back eventually, the credit card that we booked with has been closed so that we cannot spend on it as we had maxed the card out, we can only pay the balance. The amount of money that we have tied up in the holiday will just get taken off the balance on the card and we wont be able to reuse the money to put towards re booking (if that makes sense) we are now about £1300 short of the value of the holiday in which we need to re-book.
It is also scandalous that companies have put prices up for holidays knowing full well that thousands of people will be wanting to re-book holidays.
Again since the last post I am still maintaining the cashback from Quidco each month and all the work trips have started to begin to pay.
I have now manages to set up internet banking only for my Mortgage, so the money made at the end of today's diary will be paid off the mortgage. I will add a new total to the bottom of the diary to keep track of the balance.
I am also continually using shoppix, my camera on my phone is still broken which is making things difficult.
I would still love to hear from people reading this for more ideas on how to earn extra money as every penny counts.
Matched betting
New account opened with Go Wager which returned £2.16
The Netbet free bet returned £6.28
Netbet also offered free spins in the casino and on games which I won £96.34 after rolling through the wagering requirements, plus a mug bet on the virtual sports which they offered a free bet.
The Betfair bet from last week won me £6.28
Some existing Betfred offers won me £30.15
A Betstar free bet won me £3.06
I also did the stake £10 get a £30 casino bonus at Betdaq which didn't go well as the wagering requirements was far too high. lost -£1.85
Tuck shop
The tuck shop is still pretty full, I will review the amount at the weekend as I imagine I will need to buy more stock. This will give me an opportunity to get rid of all the change as there is loads of it.
Money Saved
There has been no money saved as all money that is saved will be going towards the holiday.

Its not a new month yet, so no savings account or interest has been made during this post.

I'm really getting into the matched betting again and I have found once I have been logging into the bookie accounts I have been receiving free bets via email.
I have submitted our ATOL claim for our Tomas Cook holiday, hopefully this gets resolved quickly and the money gets returned sooner rather than later. The cost of holidays has certainly rocketed which is a shame so we will have to hold off booking anything until the prices come down or we save up more money. I think it will be more of a case that we look for a cheaper holiday.
Work trips are also keeping the cashback flowing, I seem to have a constant £200 as pending cashback. Hopefully this continues as it is a steady stream of payments into the fund.
Finding it difficult to use shoppix with a broken camera, I have to use my tablet to take the pictures of the receipts, it generally means I forget to do them on that day so I loose tokens.
If anyone has any further ideas on making additional money then please drop me a line. I am thinking about stoozing with credit cards if anyone has any advice on where to start from me a reply I would love to chat.

Tuck shop
The tuck shop is turning profits over, the problem is everyone pays in change and I have to change it somehow. I have started to swap the change for Notes to use when paying for Taxi's for work as Taxi drivers generally like change. It still leave lots of 5p's etc to work out what to do with them. I think I will count them out into multiples of £5 and use them on the self service tills at the supermarkets when buying stock.

There has been no money saved as all money that is saved will be going towards the holiday.

No sooner had I posted my last entry, quidco paid some additional cashback that could have added to my overpayment to the mortgage and save some additional interest.
This is just a quick update as I am off to Southampton with work again, all booked through Quidco which will keep the cashback stream coming.
