Can I return an item to Halfords after 10 days?

I bought a car head unit 10 days ago from Halfords (in-store).
I've decided I no longer want it (EDIT: Though I have used it)
Am I able to return it for a full refund?
When I search for Halfords' return policy, it only seems to mention items ordered online and even then, it only appears to offer an exchange.
Just a bit confused about my rights.

They have a 28 day return policy for in store goods for a refund.
The goods need to be in their original packaging and unused with the receipt.
Google has plenty hits on this.0 -

However, I don't think the sound quality is very good, which is why I wish to return it if possible.0 -

What you now must do is show that the item is "not fit for purpose", but I'm not sure you will get very far with your personal opinion that the "sound quality is not very good"0 -

They've asked if there is a fault with the phone.
I have no intention of lying to them. Plus, I've already told them there isn't.
Just not sure how to proceed.
I think you are getting your threads confused;)0 -
Op is this just a one ( two) off case or do you do it regularly0

In which case carefully repack it in the box so it looks unused0 -

Seeing them in a shop for 10 minutes isn't enough for anyone to make a proper decision.
Would you want to buy a new ( used) product.
What if I order and buy a car for £20000 could I just say I don’t like it I want my money back0 -

In which case buy them online. You'll be able to try it out and get a full refund without the subterfuge.0 -

Things need to be tried before a judgement can happen.
For the record, I bought the head unit in this topic 10 days before returning it, but it was only in my car for two days and was put back in the box perfectly. Two days was plenty to see how it performed. I wouldn't take the pee.0
