Yep. Others are looking at doing away with them.

You don't need it now, it was for when people used grid machines to make a copy of the card.

The Virgin Money credit card is the same - it has the card number printed on the back

Virgin Money CC is totally flat. All data is shown on the back of the card. Take it with me to countries where card scams are common.

It does look/feel cheap as apposed to the Capital One 360 and Virgin Airlines with the details on the back.

Just waiting on my next account switch offer, so I can get rid as the Royal Bank website/app and Select account offering are utterly tosh.
