VW Claim
Hi all, got myself in a mess with this VW claim business. Seems I’ve inadvertently signed up twice with different solicitors. I signed up with SPG law then got an email from VW emissions which I thought was same people and replied to that. Turns out that was Slater & Gordon and they signed me up as well? Now I’ve got both chasing me to complete a questionnaire or threatening to charge me. I don’t mind going through with the claim but I can’t have both so seems I’m in a no win situation. Can anyone help with some forward looking advice pls?
If you can’t offer positive advise then thx for reading.

Email them and explain the situation? You may have to pay one of them.0

Contact whoever you do want to go with and advise them you have already signed up with another firm.0

What a bitter nasty reply. Why even waste 2 mins of your life to gloat when someone’s asked for help?
It's always easier in hindsight, had you asked before submitting a claim, I'm sure the there would be a unanimously NO! answer.
Rest assured, both replies didn't take 2 mins and not a gloat.
A harsh warning for those that are chasing a pot of gold.0 -
So instead of him getting money he has to pay money, excellent.
He never was going to get any money, nobody is going to. To be entitled to compensation you have to prove you've been financially affected. Nobody has from this VW emissions issue, the only people making money are the solicitors giving false hope. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I truly agree, the 'scandal' doesn't affect anyone in the UK, and if anything they have gained from it already.
The thing is those claimers, do not really 'know' what they are claiming for.0 -
