Another option is Italian Fineco Bank. You could open a multi curenncy accounts. I understand They apply a narrow spread during the convesion from £ ro EUR. Again I have not got this account so can not comment it further.

I'm going to wait for Starling to offer the debit card I think. My current Transferwise Borderless is functionally fine, so what would really make me switch is an FSCS-protected account. Fineco is covered by the Italian scheme, not FSCS.0
