I seem to remember some posters here may have the KBC Ireland Basic Current Account.
Is the application form available online?
KBC say that (link) you can apply postally by sending a form and scans of your proofs of your ID - I just can't find the form online to print off!

I just got an Email from KBC mentioning the Change of T&C ?
4.7 Terms and Conditions dated 25th March 2018
"These Terms and Conditions are effective for new Personal Customers and for existing Personal Customers in respect of new Accounts opened by them from 25th March 2018 and for existing Personal Customers from 25th May 2018 until further notice."
Change:
4.7 Terms and Conditions - effective for new personal customers from 26 June 2019.
"These Terms and Conditions are effective for new Personal Customers in respect of new Accounts opened by them from 26th June 2019 and for existing Personal Customers from 26th August 2019 until further notice"
48.3.2
The holder of an Extra Current Account (I don't understand which account is this) will benefit from no account maintenance and/or ATM Withdrawal & Cheque Lodgement processing fees being charged to the Account so long as they continue to lodge €2,500 to the account each month. Other fees and charges may apply in accordance with our Fees and Charges Booklet.

From the wording it seems that it is only for people who got their account after 25th March 2018. I and few people here are lucky enough to get account in 2017. I just checked my account there is not any fee charges for every EURO withdrawal that I have made in Eurozone from the date of account opening until to day but I am worried about what will happen after 26th August 2019.
Does anyone could comment on this or share their experience regarding this fee for cash withdrawal.
If you opened your account before 25th March 2018 and you have not lodged €2,500 (or €2000) continuously into your basic account did you get any charged fee in your account ?? In may case I have not got any charge.
For all existing customers (including the one before 25th March 2018) do you think there will be a charge if you have not lodged €2000) continuously into your basic account ??

A quick update as I started this thread - I gave up on applying in the end (they needed it to be done over the phone, I requested a callback and it never happened, by which time I'd become more interested in Starling.)
Anyway. The change in the email you mention appears to apply to the Extra Current Account, not the Basic Account. The Basic Account is still presumably required by the Irish regulators to be fee-free.0 -

Yes hopeful those fee / charges is for another account and not for basic account. I will check it later in August 2019. But I wonder why they sent me this information, knowing that I only have a basic account.
Like other poster, I managed to open KBC online. I remember I even send my Passport by email attachment.
About missing this KBC account, if it is just a Euro account you are after, have you had a look on N26 Euro bank account in Germany ?
https://n26.com/en-eu/bank-account
AFAIK it works similar way to KBC bank (IE) for Euro account but minimum ID check. It is a Mobile Banking (not internet banking) so you will need to install their app.
I haven't got one, so cannot comment on this. Other people who already have this N26 might want to comment on this.0 -

Thanks a lot for the recommendation, but that link looks like it's the product for people in Eurozone countries. There is a UK product, but it doesn't allow you to hold euros:

There's no hope needed. The email specifically says "Extra Current Account". The reason they've emailed you is that all their current accounts share the same terms and conditions. The basic account gets upgraded to another type of account if you pay too much money into it, so it's worth telling you about the other accounts.0 -
Try that
https://n26.com/en-eu/euro-bank-account
In the second page after you click open bank account now.
It comes to this page where UK is on the list
https://app.n26.com/register
Also I remember reading previous posts a while ago that a few people on this forum manage to open it while residing in the UK.
You certainly can get an N26 account if you live in the UK, but it's a GBP-based product that doesn't let you hold euros.
The page in your link is for a euro account, but states:For residents in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Poland, Iceland and Liechtenstein.
So various non-eurozone countries, but not the UK!0 -
Starling now offer a Euro dominated bank account, UK based.
However, it is relatively limited as no debit card. They state they are building this functionality though.0
