PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING: Hello Forumites! In order to help keep the Forum a useful, safe and friendly place for our users, discussions around non-MoneySaving matters are not permitted per the Forum rules. While we understand that mentioning house prices may sometimes be relevant to a user's specific MoneySaving situation, we ask that you please avoid veering into broad, general debates about the market, the economy and politics, as these can unfortunately lead to abusive or hateful behaviour. Threads that are found to have derailed into wider discussions may be removed. Users who repeatedly disregard this may have their Forum account banned. Please also avoid posting personally identifiable information, including links to your own online property listing which may reveal your address. Thank you for your understanding.

Nowhere, unless you had actually exchanged. If you're not sure whether you had exchanged or what your rights are, talk to your solicitor.bonkhos said:We had a completion date agreed but at last minute one bank in the chain delayed paperwork.we had days of work booked and paid for a hire vehicle, where does that leave us with our losses.0 -
Hi Bonkhos,
Please post your own question and don't add to an old post from Feb 2019.2 -
Might be better to start your own thread rather than use a 2 year old one.bonkhos said:We had a completion date agreed but at last minute one bank in the chain delayed paperwork.we had days of work booked and payed for an hire vehicle,we’re does that leave us with our loses.
If you have exchanged contracts and the seller does not honour that then you would have to sue your seller for the losses.0 -
there are a few things that can go wrong but i won't go into them as they will just frighten you for nothing as the likelihood of them happening is very small so don't worry about it, just look forward to being a home owner on Monday
