What are people's priorities when viewing homes for sale?

A large rural plot as far away from neighbours/other people as feasibly possible on a road with zero traffic yet still only a 15 minute commute.
The only way I managed it was buying land without planning. Am still awaiting the outcome

A manageable garden. I closed any ad with “the big selling point us the huge garden” immediately. Don’t have time for this - and am not interested in gardening.
Location - max 15/20 minutes walk from station and main bus route (and by default my current work place). Quiet, residential area. Also in current town.
Size - two or three bedrooms. Thick walls or good distance between as other half snores!
And being in an expensive part of the South East - can I afford it!!!0 -
do I like it?
weird one, but doors. Our current property has 1 door (1 bed house) which is the bathroom door, we made sure our new house had more doors, so we can contain pets/cooking smells/heat/listen to tv in different rooms and not hear the background from the other!.
Walking distance to a shop/pub/general amenities
Parking for 2 cars
a plus is a low maintenance garden because I hate gardening.
Gas central heating0 -
Bathroom (not shower only)
Lots of storage
Reasonable sized bedrooms (not a tiny third or fourth bedroom)
Traditional layout with rooms off a hall, not leading through from each other
NOT an open plan kitchen-diner-family room
NOT rooflights or velux windows, coombed ceilings
NOT overlooked garden
I also hate spanking new horrible shiny stuff.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -
I think the number one thing I actually need to view the house to see is room sizes and amount of space. What with the photos being designed to make everything look much bigger than it is - never resulting in me liking a house with tiny rooms, just in wasting everyone's time.
Then there's the condition of the house - roof, external walls, and any other things that probably weren't visible on the photos. And all the features they either couldn't fit into the photos or decided not to. There's usually something that you'd like to see but wasn't visible.
If I'm not very familiar with the area I'll also try and do a recce of the immediate surroundings either before or after.
Everything else, I've seen in the advert on rightmove or the agent's website, and I either liked it or already decided I could compromise on it.0 -

By the time you viewed a fair number. You'll know when it's the right one. Always viewed properties with an open mind.0 -
Nice location on a quiet road (cul de sac is good). Back garden facing west, kitchen diner. In fact, I have been in this house for 19 years, and it’s got everything I have just described.0

Drive for several cars and south facing garden for sure:j I love bargains:jI love MSE0

Mostly what is on the outside. Traffic, notice, neighbours. You soon get used to what's on the inside and it's what's on the outside that counts

Must, just must have at least two bathrooms, then room sizes, then south facing garden, then garage or room to build garage.0
