What are people's priorities when viewing homes for sale?

WHAT ARE PEOPLE'S PRIORITIES WHEN VIEWING HOMES FOR SALE? What do you people think is the most important thing viewers are looking for when viewing a property for sale

This will vary from viewer to viewer.
I/we wanted somewhere close to the train station for a quick commute, and room for a study/PC room, as well as a music/listening room. We're on a sloping plot, and someone with young boys might well find them going away from a viewing saying "Mum, there's nowhere to play football ..."0 -
"Do I want to live here?
Is it going to get me on first name terms with every builder in a 20 mile radius?0 -
How much parking is there? What are the bedrooms like? Is it habitable- even if the decor is interesting? Where are the schools? Can we extend it in future if needed?0

Practically everyone you ask will have a different answer to that question. And the requirements/expectations often evolve during the course of the search0

Size of property and location.
I would rather pay a bit less for somewhere shabby and do it up to my taste than have spanking new horrible shiny stuff that I haven't chosen.Decluttering, 20 mins / day Jan 2024 2/20 -

for me it was.. must have 3 double/good sized (not one tiny box room!) bedrooms, off road parking - that was it.Mortgage started 2015: £150,000 2016: £130,000 2017: £116,000 2018: £105,000 2019: £88,000 2020: £69,000 2021: £51,195 2023: MORTGAGE FREE!0

I always take some string along to a viewing so someone can ask how long it is.0
