Did you read the OP?
Half of teachers didn't turn up. So how do you think the days weren't affected?
The title of this board is "Praise vent and warnings" - This was a vent about snowflake teachers, - happy?0 -

Was it exactly half or did your son not give you an exact figure.
:rotfl:
Perhaps you should consider home schooling him if your not happy with the school and its staff or perhaps a private school0 -
im the same as you, i wasnt there so i dont know

You're a comedian. Figures didn't come from my son, they came via a text from the school, so also "rotfl"
He does learn more from me than from his teachers as it is.
"Private" or state school, I still have a low opinion of teachers.
Had my "Vent" now, so leaving thread as it is, you will probably still keep adding your opinions, so be it. Have fun.0 -
Rubbish.
You don't have a clue what I've done or haven't done, so don't assume you know, because you don't.
Yet you are assuming you know why some of the Teachers didnt make it into to work because people you work with did?
There is another saying, goes something like this, walk a mile in my shoes before you judge.
BTW I'm not a teacher, and my local school was open but if a school is under staffed due to what ever reason I'd rather it closed.0 -

I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

No, point being they all get in with no problems. Why can't teachers?
Always been a believer in the old saying, "Them that can't do, do Those that can't teach, teach"
I have fixed that for comic effect and accuracy.
My son's a teacher. Give the lad a break. He's probably gone sledging. Anything to keep away from the horrible children.0 -

Attitudes like that are (part of) why there is a crisis in education with droves of good teachers leaving.
I would challenge any of the detractors to spend a week, even in a primary school, and tell me they have an easy job.
My son is thinking of leaving teaching. He hates the fact that the management, parents and kids don't give a !!!! about education.0
