No idea, but the culprit could face up to 3 months in prison, starting point a high level community order, (based on High Culpability, Lesser Harm)if you had reported this to the police, and they charged him with illegal abstaction of electricity, and he was subsequently found guilty.

    Theft Act 1968

Don't believe me? This guy discovered the hard way too...

A completely ridiculous case. The stupid woman who called for his arrest should have been arrested herself for wasting police time. There aren't half some thick b****ds around.

Got to agree. in my area the Police are very unlikely to come out to most crimes, including burglary and car theft..standard practice is to screen out the vast majority of crimes with an issue of a crime number Shoplifting has to be worth over a £100 before they show any interest ..However, if the plumber abused you and committed a "hate crime " several squad cars will appear quickly and arrest him..
Plumbers (most of them ) have always been the worst tradesmen for inflating prices. They are so arrogant because they consider themselves the only ones who can understand the mystery of the combi boiler and they go through their working life overcharging customers .Never trust a plumber is my maxim ..Next in line are garage mechanics
