Can only go 3 or 4m back depending on your house (detached or semi)
So in the image, the red box. The left side of the redbox is new wall (prob. build in 2003) while the right side of the red box is original wall. This is semi detached house. and part I am talking about (the red square) is in front, parallel to the house.
PS. Thanks Dean000000 taking time to reply while on your journey (and others) for quick response. You might make my weekend a bit more enjoyable! God bless this forum and the internet.0 -
As others have said it looks like an extension has been built after the one in 2003 that has been passed by the council. Building Control should make several visits to site to ensure that the work is carried out in accordance with the approved plans. They sometimes will permit minor alterations to the approved plans as the work progresses as long as the alterations meet the Building Regulations, but what you have shown would not fall into that category.0

In either case it appears to be more than (at-least) 10 year old. (I can see it from google streetview). So does it mean it would come under "planning permission 4 year rule" ? How would you prove it?0 -

You will have to apply for retrospective Planning Permission and Building Control Approval. If you bought the house less than 6 years ago and had employed professional advisors during the purchase, you might be able to sue them for negligence.0

It was only bought 6 months ago. I have used conveyancing solicitor for the purchase. But how would the solicitor know about the development without visiting the site ? (At-least that would be their argument)0
