    A few UUs to report...

    One from last night:

Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Gel sample WMB as a full size but I'll see what I feel like after I've used my other sample of this and I'll probably wait until I've finished my current BHA product before buying it.

    Two UUs this morning:

Hask Cactus Water Shampoo 355ml WPNBA. This was nice, and gentle on my hair, but I think the past few times I've used it, it's making my scalp itch during the day. Hm. Will replace with the Bumble and Bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil Shampoo I have in my stash. Down to two shampoos now, a normal one and a toning one.

Hask Cactus Water Conditioner 355ml WPNBA. I like this, but same as above. It's a lovely product though. Will replace with the Bumble and Bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil Conditioner I have.

Caroline Hirons has a retinol video up today on Youtube. You might want to watch before committing.

    3 UUs

Molten Brown Gingerlily Body Wash (travel size)
    Imperial Leather Foamburst Body Wash
Elizabeth Arden Visibly Different Hydrating Cleanser 50 ml (used as a body wash eventually)

I have couple of bath bombs but i'm hopeless to prepare a nice bath. I can't seem to get bubbles. Any tips? :rotfl:

Regarding the bath stuff - it depends if it’s a bath bomb or a bubble bar. A bubble bar you need to crumble under the tap whilst the wTer is running for bubbles. A bath bomb is put in when the bath is full and it will foam and fizz and make the water super moisturising (the extent to which depends on the type of bomb - I’m a die hard lush fan so Afraid I only know about these). It might colour the water but it won’t produce bubbles

    Few UUs this week:

    Batiste dry shampoo 300ml HG
Champneys soap 10g - was nice, plain smell and not drying

Hopefully more next weekend...plenty of products in regular use which are on their way to empty....not been a pampering week either as my poor dog has been unwell.

I also had my birthday yesterday (and a small stock up of items needed to buy) so the first ‘INs’ of the year:

    2x super drug shampoos 200ml
Batiste dry shampoo 300ml - I’m trying the rose gold one now
    Lush bath bombs x2
    Lush bubble bar x3
    Lush Goddess scented oil
    Lush Jade roller

Have tried the jade roller - will start using it properly once my Liz Earle cleanser is done.

I hate throwing things away but don't have an alternative with the following.

Maybelline Colour Drama Intense Velvet Lip Pencil x 2 - one of these is a dark pink and the other is red, they are semi-matte and I have come to the conclusion I really hate matte lip products but also the colours are too bold and they transfer which is a worry and means I need to check all the time. I also find them drying and don't like how they wear off.

I am having a make up declutter at some point this week and will be offering things to DD first so some may not actually leave the house but she may use them which would be good.

    Cremo Shave Cream
[STRIKE] Atelier Cologne perfume 8 samples[/STRIKE]
    Lacura hot cloth cleanser
    Lacura “Flash Balm” copy
    Bare Minerals Good Hydrations Primer
    Inepto Coconut Cream Body Lotion
    ABC Body Lotion
    Nivea SPF for face

Updated list. Two more UUs that are not on the list above:-

10 The Ordinary Rose Hip Oil sample Purchased full size.

11 The Ordinary The Buffet serum sample Have another to use but won't repurchase as I find the cream from Aldi is doing a better job. Wish I had watched the Caroline Hirons YouTube video rather than asking advice on The Ordinary FB page. I really don't understand why people need a cocktail of potions when they don't have problematic skin. For me, I need something to combat the puffiness and lines under my eyes and the Caffeine Solution seems to be working for this. Will continue with the sample to test. I feel my skin also needed hydrating which the rose hip oil is tending to.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Might need to use a bit more product if you are in a hard water area too.

I have four nearly finished handcreams - need to focus on just one!

I'm not getting the cream after all, it's just one product but I don't want to add ANYTHING to my stash if I can help it at all. Looks like I will need nail polish remover soon but that will be paid for with Advantage Card points.

Looking forward to a few more UUs this month - small size products, but UUs still, reducing the overwhelming total number.

PS I found CH's comments about "only put retinol on cheeks and forehead" a bit weird... never heard that before, maybe she was talking just about the really strong stuff? I have gone through several indeed l@bs retinol creams and used it everywhere, even on neck, with no problem...

I have listened to the video again this morning and yes I think she was referring to the much stronger OTC products and to prescription retinols or to those with very sensitive skins. I have been using the Pestle & Mortar Superstar and have another to use, this is an oil base and mild, but even that sometimes irritates my face around the nose and near to the eyes, depends very much on how good or not my skin is reacting to stuff at any given time.
