Not heard from HSBC application

Applied for HSBC credit card for a balance transfer a couple of weeks ago but haven't heard anything since they needed to check before offering me the card.

Anyone else applied recently and had anything back?

  • I applied and it took them weeks to come back to me.

If you call them they will be able to give you an update
  • HSBC application processing times are just so slow... :(

I got a text message saying they received my application but then nothing until weeks after when I applied for my HSBC account - not even a confirmation email or reference number or anything. I'd give them a ring and get an update on your application, particularly if you have heard absolutely nothing from them.

I applied for one back in October, said they would be in touch after I submitted the application. Gave it 2 weeks heard nothing. In that time I decided to apply for the Post Office credit card instead (big mistake that was but hey ho). In the end I contacted them through twitter, asked them if I had an application still registered which they said I did, but then told them to cancel it which they did.
  • I posted my own HSBC credit card application timeline on this thread.

They were so slow when I first applied that the offer timed out after about a month so I had to apply again when they were much quicker.
