British Gas problems (again!!)

Hi all,
Following on from a thread I started a while ago, my bank reduced my credit card limit last week on my account. I had a check on my credit file and noticed BG have set me up two DD accounts (fine), however, also there is another electricity account which has an outstanding debt of £175 which I apparently haven't paid for 3 months. I can only assume this is from where we switched to BG from utilita when we moved in (April 2018) however due to their incompetence with the meter change we had to continue to pay Utilita but use BG gas. BG said this was fine and they would claim the money back from utilita.
A month or so ago we actually received a refund from BG as we had overpaid for our gas to utilita.
Bearing in mind we were on pre payment until a few months ago, so didn't actually have any credit account with BG to warrant an outstanding balance.
We are now on a smart DD meter with no problems.
They are supposed to be ringing me Friday to rectify this, so far though, they have been rubbish.
Does this warrant them removing these missed payments from my file? Its killed my otherwise perfect record.

Update.
Both my lloyds credit cards have now been reduced so I can no longer spend on them. Spoke to complaints again, no time frame for a call back. All she said was my complaint is 126 days old (this complaint plus my original) so I should get a call soon. Its unacceptable. Just seeing my accounts so slowly deteriorate. :mad::mad:0 -
