Ryanair Cheaper Single Tickets

I was trying to book a flight for September this year for my partner and I with Ryanair. When I realised I had only tried to book with ONE ADULT I quickly went back to the tab to changed it, when I did the price went up?! So I changed it back to 1 x Adult and it went back to the original cheaper price, albeit £6 but come guys and gals, £6 is £6!!
Hoping I've found a good one, or I'm another dim-low who hasn't done his homework? :money::money:

Airline sell their seats in fare ‘buckets’. Sounds like there was only one seat left at the lower price when you searched for one seat. If you select and search for two passengers and only one seat left in the cheaper fare bucket then both seats come from the next fare bucket up (e.g. two at the +£6 fare).
You could book them separately if you wanted to get the £6 saving on one seat.0 -
Just thought if this is the case, then people like myself who are not bothered about sitting next to whoever you are flying with (for 2hrs) you can save not only that cost but also another few shackles.
Worth trying whatever. It's not like the airline tell you this...0 -
If you book 2 flights seperatly you may find you are sitting next to each other!Political?....I dont do Political....well,not much!0

In fairness to Ryanair, EasyJet and others, they do often indicate something along the lines of “only X number of seats at this price” when searching their sites. I always do a search initially based on one passenger to see.0

Ryanair put you in shackles?Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0 -
I always delay checking in on easyJet and Ryanair until close to departure time (not forgetting the 2-hour cutoff) disregarding Ryanair's repeated attempts to offer a paid seat, and nearly always get an up front or extra legroom seat for free when only those are left and unsold. Ryanair put me in seat 2D front row this way last week, no fee or shackles..!Evolution, not revolution0

If you like living dangerously... I just had the Ryanair app completely fail to work for a good while and the website couldn't find my booking. So I missed the online check-in window and am now on the hook for the €55 airport check-in fee.
Think next time I'll just go for an inferior seat.Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks

How long was a "good while" ?
Such faults are not unknown on Ryanairs system.0 -

15 minutes or so, I guess. Certainly enough time to try the app umpteen times, restart my phone, try different network connections, and try the Ryanair website a few times as well.
When I got to the check in desk the check in agent said that the outage had affected several passengers and that I should claim the €55 back from Ryanair - which I will do without much optimism of getting anything back.
Edit: Unsurprisingly, Ryanair has rejected my claim to have the €55 refunded.Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks
