iPhone Issue
Hi all, I have a query about what is the best thing to do next. I have an iPhone 7, 8 months old, and as of yesterday the battery takes ages to charge and the battery does not hold it charge. Should I take it back to Carphone Warehouse and ask for it to be replaced? Or if they can fix it will this affect my correspondences if anything else was to go wrong?
Many thanks, Justine

Hopefully you have a Apple store nearby as I would go through Apple more than the retailer.

Well, surprisingly CPW offer 24-months (!) warranty for iPhone batteries - https://selfhelp.carphonewarehouse.com/SelfHelp/request.do?view()=c%7B79ae2a80-f9f3-11de-da00-000000000000%7D (while Apple themselves offer just 12 months).
Normally, no information is lost when a battery is replaced, but it's better to be safe than sorry
https://www.carphonewarehouse.com/repair.html- Back up your phone
- Remove any screen locking passcode
- If you have an iPhone with 'Find My iPhone' (FMIP) enabled, either disable it, or have the password available
- Remove any Micro SD storage card (if applicable)

Erm if op is saying that the phone is 8 months old then I would not be just looking to replace the battery I would making sure that there is not an inherent fault with the phone.
Default if your ever sending your iPhone in for repair you should backup to iCloud or computer and reset phone by wiping all contents and settings.0
