I have a new android mobile and although the spec says 802.11.ac, I dont seem to be able to see any 5G wifi networks.

At home I have a Virgin Media SuperHub 3 and it has two wifi networks broadcast labelled <my-network> and <my-network>_5G. Also at work there is a 5G wifi and I cant see that either.
Connects to normal wifi fine.

My iPad and other iphones can connect to the 5G wifi

Not a big deal as I get on wifi but just wondering if there is any troubleshooting that can be done here or if I can even check somewhere in the settings on the phone itself if it is even 802.11.ac capable as there may be some mismatch with international and UK versions of the phone.

Thanks

Usually, if you go to Settings, About phone you can check the exact model number to see which build you have.

I think ive spotted that the UK version doesn't have 802.11.ac - I am sure the web page had it showing a few days ago so maybe it was changed - ah well.

FWIW - Its a Honor 10 Lite model HRY-LX1 (From Argos so I assume its a UK version) but I think i'm sorted in that its not compatible.

    Thanks for the replies.
