Unfortunately people don't always have the foresight to see that you are helping them more than others by giving the correct advice whether or not they wish to hear it.
For someone to be helpful, they need to impart that knowledge and advice to others in such a way that it will be accepted by the people that it was directed at and IMO, this is what many people see you failing at.
You come across as very arrogant towards others, for instance, in this thread you stated:LOL. Gas plumbers with a superiority complex.Absolute rubbish.
I've been doing the job I do for close to 40 years now and I think that I'm pretty good at it and very knowledgeable about the equipment I work on and a couple of years ago I was given the opportunity to become an instructor, something which I declined.
Why?
Although I may well have a very good knowledge of the job and everything it entails, this doesn't mean that I have the necessary skills and training to pass that knowledge over to others in such a way to ensure that they take it in and I honestly think that you are the same Risteard.0 -

The fact that I am superior to plumbers had nothing to do with the remarks.0
