POLL: Do you think "Is This Quote Fair Board" is helpful as a sub-board?

I've posted this before and I've stupidly bumped my last post, but I think it would help to add a poll to illustrate what lurkers think, not just us noisy ones. A quote thread has been moved this morning from this board, which had one reply. My gut is that it is way too high, but one person's opinion isn't really going to help someone save thousands.
The wording always used when threads are moved is that they think they will get more replies, but this doesn't happen; quite the opposite - it's where threads go to languish and be replied to days later.
I'm still of the opinion that the board isn't frequented by those looking to answer questions. As a result, the threads there don't get nearly as many replies as they would if they were on this board (which is often where they start, but get moved!)
I have an existing thread in the suggestions board which I'e bumped and would still appreciate some additional feedback.

Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
Is the "Is this Quote Fair" board useful as a sub-board to this one? 56 votes

No, posts rarely get answered because it's so quietNever visit. I have less information than some, but still could contribute. Also, it's often not just the £££ that can be commented on, but the concept behind the job.

I didn't know the sub-board existed. I suppose that helps answer your question.0

No, posts rarely get answered because it's so quietI never look at it either. It should be closed and the content moved here.
ETA: Just looked at it. The first 20 threads date back as far as 13 January and only four of them have more than 5 replies (several have none). To me that indicates it should be integrated with this board. It clearly isn't a place where a thread will 'get more replies'.0 -
No, posts rarely get answered because it's so quietI've posted on it and had zero or little response.

No, posts rarely get answered because it's so quietMerge - but somehow raise awareness that the word "quote" should be in the thread title.
(Having said the above, after many years on many forums, I still despair of the lack of common sense in naming thread titles). I almost make a point of not reading threads with vague titles. Examples:
Help needed
Shed
What should I do?
Am I a plonker?

I posted on the 'quote' thread a couple of months back. Over 500 thread views, 0 replies.....
Ok, it might have been a bit too specific a question, but I think it *might* have fared better hereMortgage-free for fourteen years!

It's interesting.
I posted in that board just after posting in here to see if people were looking. People are looking, but people don't post.
271 views on here, 99 views in there. Not a terrible hit rate, but I also agree - and think I may have raised it, that the board naming is terrible. 'is this quote fair' has a better name than this board does, for sure. But no one engages by posting.
Given that I do house stuff for a living, I didn't know that this board was here for years!
Last time I posted about this I think I was more infuriated that things that should be here get left on the House Buying board
Anyway, nothing will get done, I'm sure. The boards are a drain on resource and not very money saving.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I frequent this region of MSE for two reasons.
To learn(A lot)
To help(A bit)
I suspect a lot of viewing are people looking to learn.
Just had a look at the quotes(probably the first time this year) a lot more traffic than I recall from last time.
This board has had 449 thread active in Jan so far, Dec got 300, Nov 382.
No of active threads on the quote board

They could get totally lost without some info in the title, might need a new sticky how to ask if a quote is fair stick QUOTE: in the tittle.
rather than move them as now admin could just modify the title and hope people catch on.0 -
No, posts rarely get answered because it's so quietI always forget it's there.
While I understand why people ask about prices, I always think that without being able to see the job it's all a bit "how long is a piece of string", but it can help people getting totally "done" when they obviously need to get more quotes.
The trouble with sub-forums in general is they get ignored. Better in the main forum IMHO.0
