The difference between these readings is 750 and 796. If the gas reading is in m3, then this would be approx. 750kWh of electricity and 8915kWh of gas.

Thankyou all for your help :) managed to sort it with eon turns out my bill is £324 not the £834 that they billed me for i knew it wasnt right luckily I had photos of the meter readings from when i moved in ( i forgot i had taken them) so i was getting billed for the previous tennants bill.
Thankyou to all that commented and helped.

Hi I am new to the group so apologise if I have posted this in the wrong place.
I got a 1 bedroom flat on a 6 months contract I was with Eon for both gas and electric and I paid £32 month for both by dd. I work 11 hours a day sleep 6-8 hours and it was my 1st flat. So all I had electric wise was a tv, xbox, fridge, kettle lighting and a microwave. my gas was water & heating. I left the flat after the 6 month contract was up sent Eon the meter readings and got a final bill saying I now owe £834 for my gas and electric (bare in mind i have paid 32 a month for 6 months) it says i have used elec 2573 units and gas a shocking 14011 units. Surely this cant be right. I have called eon to question it and they say It was the previous tennants final reading that was estimated so thats why there is so much usage and it is my bill... I gave eon my meter readings when I first moved in and they have lost them. is there anything I can do I cant surely owe that much money I dont know what to do thanks in advance

Hello raz95 and welcome to the Forums.

Sorry I'm late replying. Wasn't in yesterday and playing catch-up. Glad this has been sorted and well done for taking/keeping photos of the meter when you first moved in. We're happy to accept readings this way.

Where we don't have starting readings when a tenancy changes, we'll estimate based on the previous 12-18 months usage. Not sure what happened with the readings you gave us when you moved in. Losing them is poor and I'm sorry this happened.

RAZ95 - that was a meter reading lesson you got away with.

Hope you keep on top of you new property a little more efficiently.
