EE 'upgrade' help please

I currently have three phones on my EE account, one of these phones, my wife's, is at the end of its 24m contract.
The phone she wants next can be obtained via 3rd party reseller on a new contract for £36pm with no upfront payment, same phone and plan on an 'upgrade' as a loyal customer is £48pm. Go figure.
I need to keep all three plans on the same account as we gift data to my daughter who uses all hers before month end, her contract ends in October so don't want to modify her plan at this stage.
So, if I buy from the 3rd party reseller as a new contract, will this end up on the same account with EE to enable the data gifts? I know I will also need to do a bit of work via PAYG sim to get my wife's number to the new contract.
Hope this makes sense?
Thanks.

I suspect EE are the best people to ask, my initial instinct is the new line will start on a different account because of the third party reseller, whether EE would be willing later to merge accounts is a matter for them to answer.

Have you tried negotiating with their retentions team to get their price reduced? Or considered buying the handset outright and switching to a SIMO deal?

I have just finished my 24 months with EE, so I rang 150 and eventually got through to retentions, it was a chap in Ireland. I did not want a new phone from them as I would be tied in. I bought a Sony XA2 from Argos for £199.

The chap in Irleand only offered me a £10 contract, down from £15. I was not happy with this so looked at the Sky deal. I was going to move to Sky but thought I would give EE another call. I did so and was put through to retentions straight away.

This time I was put through to North Tyneside and spoke to a lovely lady called Alison. I told her of the previous offer from Jordan in Ireland.

So I started again with her and told her of the ID deals

The best was £3.99, she price matched with £4 for my current plan so I was very happy.

I have spoken to retentions on North Tyneside twice in the past and had a great deal from them each time, new phones on both previous occasions.

Give them a ring and tell them you are leaving.
