Impossible to get a student credit card with my income

Hello, I am looking for a student credit card but my income of around £5000 is restrictive and is causing problems with eligibility. I have not formally applied for any credit cards yet. Halifax gave a 50% chance of me getting their credit card but this probability is far too low and I worry that I am ineligible for that…

Having been to uni I couldn't think of anything worse than owning a credit card. You will just get yourself into debt IMO.
