Impossible to get a student credit card with my income

Hello,
I am looking for a student credit card but my income of around £5000 is restrictive and is causing problems with eligibility. I have not formally applied for any credit cards yet.
Halifax gave a 50% chance of me getting their credit card but this probability is far too low and I worry that I am ineligible for that as well.

Do you have a student bank account? Why not try getting a card from the same bank?
Edit: I think Tesco cards stipulate £5,000 minimum income, but they are not student-focussed cards...I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.

Yes, it is with Barclays. They don't have a student credit card account.0

£4750 is my exact annual income for this academic year.0

If you get a part-time job then your income will increase to over £5,000. Also, as a student, a good money earner is doing paid online surveys and opinion polls during your free time.

Do you specifically need a Student Credit Card? If so, then you may need to move your bank account to someone like Natwest or HSBC which offer student credit cards - if you have their Student bank account.
Otherwise try looking at a Barclaycard Initial card or another "credit builder" product (i.e. from Aqua) - but remember to pay them off in full each month as their interest rates will be much higher than other cards.0 -

It's a student loan. I can't find the time to do a job with full time education.0

Why would you want a credit card?0
