ESA doesn’t have any work search requirements. It sounds like you have tried to claim JSA.50Twuncle said:calcotti said:
You cannot claim income based ESA because it has been abolished.50Twuncle saidIt's not that I don't want to claim ESA - It is that I am not entitled to claim any money through ESA !
Contributory ESA - due to a lack of relevant recent NI contributions orIncome based ESA due to having over the maximum savings limit of £16,000I do, however, meet the requirements for claiming ESA !
Although you are not entitled to be paid new style ESA because you lack the NI contributions it has been explained to you previously that you should be able to apply for new style ESA which will trigger a Work capability assessment and if you are found to have Limited capability for Work to receive NI credits. This advice hasn't changed since two years ago. That is exactly what I am trying to doBut my local JCP won't accept that this the way to do itThey want me to attend work assessment meetings a do work searches - both of which would be totally pointless and difficult for me - I am virtually immobile and my I'll health pension forbids me from earning through working.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0 -
I believe that was all explained to the OP in their huge thread a couple of years ago. It's quite unbelieveable how 2 years later they are no further forward to claiming the benefit for NI contributions.calcotti said:
