have put in for my pension on which i will get £400 per month only can i then claim carers allowance my wife is on suitable benefits , thank you xxx

works pension i meant I'm 65 in may but not entitled to state pension till november0

Occupational pension does not affect Carers Allowance. It is taxable though.

Don't bother taking the Carer's Allowance because the money you receive is deducted from your wife's Disability Living Allowance which is tax free and is not included in any taxable income considerations.0

I'm not sure where you got that from but it's certainly not correct, sorry. This is wrong.
You might be thinking of SDP, which is not payable if someone is claiming Carer's Allowance for you (and you need to meet specific criteria anyway).0 -

i claimed carers allowance many years ago but went back into employment which meant my payments ceased0
