    Afternoon all.
I know, I know I'm very late today but I have been shopping with Dad :(.
We decided to go over the mountain road ( quickest route ) to Ffoods, Asda etc to top up on t. rolls, sweetner and other store cupboard stuff. As the weather was just icy here, we decided not to leave till 11 am, but we were in snow from the top of the mountain and down to the shops ( good job we have a 4x4 ). It seems we were lucky and were sheltered on our side.
Dad wasn't too bad today, no " bananagate " but I wish he wouldn't poke everything with his stick and say it's cheaper in so and so and he doesn't even want to buy it . Took us ages to go around Asda even though he had borrowed a mobility scooter as he will talk to everyone and anyone. Still, he paid for lunch and said "thank you for taking me " Blimey it seems he's still got some of the Xmas spirit left :D
I haven't put all the shopping away as my back is playing up today, probably got the cold in it or it could be because I was running away with a baby in my arms, from a crocodile during the night. Someone would have a field day with my dreams .
I have a closeness with my DD ( never had it with my DM :( ) and we are in contact all the time. We often look after the DGC and have a close relationship with them , but DSiL doesn't have as much contact with his Mum. Seems the saying is true ( thanks WeeMidge I couldn't remember it properly.)
In other news, I weighed last night and drum roll please.........I have lost 4lbs :j:j
Bozwood I hope you can get yourself sorted at the dentist.
Speky at least the "in " and " out " will hopefully equal out and that will count as a NSD :j
Siveroldie I hope your Mum enjoys her eclair. I might just hold it under her nose to get her to open her eyes :D. OK I know, naughty nan :naughty: :rotfl:
Nelski did you do a song and dance routine to liven things up ? Hope today went well for you and just think of the £££££££££££££ you will rake in :D

Anyone seen Organza Lace lately ? If you're reading missus I hope you are OK. Sending you a hug anyway.
Dumpling and anyone on a diet - keep up the good work :T.

Sending healing vibes to the poorly people, hugs to the fed up ones or anyone struggling with daily life, especiallly Steve, Taff , Holly and Poppy.
Take care all, stay safe and warm.
    nan xx

  • Been a real Old Style day, had to go to the chemist to collect a prescription, very cold out there lots of frozen snow around so had to be very careful walking, not so steady on my feet these days. Then caught the bus to the shops, did a quick fling round Aldi and Heron, back on the bus and home to a nice warm house.
Toasted teacakes for lunch and I’ve been sitting in the warm ever since. Now sitting in a dark room watching a spectacular sunset,,beautiful red sky.Think I had better put the light on and finish writing a letter that’s to go in with a birthday card then get on with knitting dolls clothes!
