Good morning all
Thank you for starting us off Nelski, safe driving
Just realised I haven't seen or heard from DS and DGS for a month, they came to visit Saturday before Christmas, haven't seen DiL since October. I'll try and contact them but not sure if they will answer.
Cold and wet here, no shopping needed so will probably just stay in and keep warm
Thinking of Snoozer and Steve, Holly, Poppy, taff and all those finding life difficult
Take care allIf you walk at night no-one will see you cry.0 -
Morning! Just rushed outside because I thought I'd missed a parcel but |I haven't, phew] but I can see ice on the roads! Hoping the sun will be to to melt it before I have to go out.
Bought a tube for the kitchen light, didn't work, which means the unit itself has gone wonky, which means I might as well have taken the damn thing off. It's a fairly old, fairly chunky fluorescent light fitting with no starter, so now it's probably the ballast that's gone and I'm not looking forward to that. Might just get a whole new one and not tell him and fit it anyway.
Didn't shop yesterday, will do it today, as soon as the delivery of special wood comes and the light shop phones about the other tube that I ordered [two lights pretty much went together. They've both been on their last legs for a while but I haven't done anything about it until they totally went]
Out to OHs mother for food later, also waiting for a call from the doc for another note which I'll have to pick up, race to work and photcopy then race back again. Everything just has to be done today doesn't it, when I could really do without running round all over the place. Oh well, at least there's no cooking today.
Stay safe Nelski and stop if you need to. Hey SO, how's it going? Is everything in place with the home now and how are coping with your OH? WeeMidgie, that's a WW breakfast :)Add some cranberries and a bit of flour and they're a muffin....redruby, is your car sorted now? Have a nice time out TA. Put the fire on Gers! Hows Steve doing today snnozer? Wotcha Poppy, Holly.
Have a good one if you can.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
taff, we didn't have a great night, Steve was very restless and then got up to take some of the anti-sickness tablets. He's feeling a bit better now and had eaten.
I had a terrible night, partly because of Steve pushing me out of bed and partly because I was aching all over.
We're back to the hospital again this afternoon for the second treatment, hopefully it won't take as long today because we won't need all the explanations and instructions.
I want to turn the leftover beef brisket and gravy into soup but I need to go out and get some barley for it.0 -
They were pretty good about that when I was having it, so if those particular tablets don't work, ask them for different ones. Also, do tell them about any side effects because they may e able to lessen them, or to give [yet more] pills to ameliorate them.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0

Morning,
I was going to go in town this morning but we've just had some snow so I'm not risking the cold or slippy pavements. We've both got eye tests booked for tomorrow morning when DH will be driving down so it can wait till then, although the market won't be on and I need a stitch undoer from the haberdashery shop on there, mines broken.I was making a black top last year but the neck facing was never right so decided to undo it -trying to undo black stitches on black fabric with a wonky ripper and even wonkier eyesight - not good. I need some specs for close work!
Ly1a is busy hiding upstairs as it's bin day and the wagon has just been -she hates it,big daft pooch
DS came home at lunchtime clutching a carton of hot soup- what's that asks I. 'Leek, broccoli & stilton-' ' oh thats just whats in that jug in the fridge ' I said .Bet mine was better!
A ys turkey roulade for tea with new pots and green veg.
I might as well carry on with the black top if I'm not going out,& want to watch the latest Outlander episode on prime later too.
Snoozer- hope you both have a better night tonight xx
Lots of hugs xx:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.
Heavy frost this morning, had to thaw out the car before I set off for my appointment at the hospital.......I have to have second hearing aid, but there was some wax in my left ear, so need to use the olive oil treatment for a week before my appointment to get my ear sucked.......I hate that it makes me go dizzy.
Cleaner here, doing her usual good job, its such a pity she cannot come all the time.
We had a call for help last night R & J had sludgy water, they are working on the mains in the next village, so they came down to us and filled containers with clean water, I told them to come for more today if they need it.
Bitterly cold out........snow showers are forecast. Not looking forward to that, was very careful going out this morning.
Bacon frittata for supper tonight, the last of the lemon drizzle with mascapone for dessert.0 -
Morning everyone.
Nels hope you arrived safely. Snoozer hope Steve is ok. We have no snow here but it’s very cold. Having a housework day here today and making roast chicken for tea.
Hugs to those who need one.0 -
Cold but lovely and sunny out today . Just got back from walking the dogs , 3000 steps so will try for the same this afternoon. In between that will clean the bedrooms and both bathrooms and make some some soup for lunch .Mr Lottie just off to the dentist for a filling , hope he gets the car back in time for me to fetch the granddaughters from school. School and dentist both twelve miles away in different directions so good timing is essential! .Busy day but that’s good ,have a good one everybody.0

Morning all
No snow, rain or wind here, just ice this morning and greyness
.
I had to wash down the kitchen tops this morning mainly because there was a coffee spill all over it. As neither of us has any idea how, we have come to the conclusion that the coffee maker may be leaking........ I do hope not, but it will be replaced if it is. Mr Fix It has cleaned the cooker top and emptied the DW and I have brought the recycling bin around the back and fed the birds.
Later I want to sort out the caravan stuff, which lives in the bedroom alcove when not in the van, as it seems to have got itself in a mess :rotfl:. When I cleaned the bedroom yesterday, I did a lot of decluttering and I have started to fill a bag for the cs, so I'm on a mission now to try to fill it !
Tea tonight will be fish and chips for me and Mr Fix It will have a small HM pasty with his chips. I'm steeling myself up for my weigh-in tonight, if i lose 1lb I'll be happy. Why did I eat that choc orange ?
.
Nelski if you get stuck give me a call as we have a spare room, so mates rates will apply :rotfl:. I hope you get home safe and sound :A
Snoozer give your Steve a gentle hug from me. Take good care of yourself too.
Redruby isn't there a health and safety at work act that says something about heat regs ? You shouldn't have to work without heating for weeks, especially during the winter months. Apologies if I have spoken out of turn or have misunderstood.
TA enjoy your coffee and cake.
Thinking of Holly and Poppy and anyone who is poorly or having treatment.
Take care all, stay safe and warm and enjoy your day.
