Delays in receiving OTP from Lloyds/Halifax/BOS?

I've had no problems with the automated confirmation system used by Lloyds, BoS & Halifax for years, with the call coming within seconds. My "landline" connection is via VOIP and was last used for BoS a month ago and my mobile phone about a year ago.

No problems here either with Lloyds or Halifax, on mobile or landline. I set up some payees last week and the calls all came through very quickly.

As OP have done a few more standing orders using both mobile and landline today and all have been instant call.

So I don't know what happened yesterday or last year. Possibly an out of date IOS on my iPad causing a problem as it has been known to make the screen go blank while in online banking with Lloyds and doesn't have full functionality. Now switched to Amazon fire tablet which is more up to date and all working sweetly touch wood;)

Thanks for the replies though, it obviously does work almost without fail so have to accept the problem was closer to home!:o

Tried to setup a payee with Lloyds on Monday:

1) Code appears on screen, selected mobile, call never received, action timed out
2) New code appears on screen, Repeated the request to send code to mobile. Incoming phone call (in response to 1) interrupted by second "call waiting" relating Dropped first call to get second, entered code as normal, got a text message as normal.

I then got two calls in succession from the verification number which I sent to voicemail.
