    Afternoon all!
So I still need to get something else for my niece, her birthday is in the next few days, so I'll check Amazon today.

Any ideas for a 7 year old girl that doesn't need or want for anything? I've got her a little mix keyring and lip gloss from boots, but I'll need something else x
  • I find it harder when they get to that age to buy for them.

I usually pick up clothes in the sale for them so that could be an option?

I think you might be right, I might nip to Morrisons and use one of my vouchers for something nice. Their Nutmeg range is really nice for kids, usually lovely colours and patterns etc :-)
  • I think Asda are great, I pick up stuff on the sale anytime I'm in and see something that will do the kids.

Picked up my best friends wee girl 2 dresses that were 50% off last week, one I will give for her birthday and the other I will keep for Christmas.

Thrice when my daughter was that age I put together a nail care kit, hand cream, pretty nail files, nail varnish, remover etc all in a lidded plastic container with a handle. She was very impressed with grown up present. She loves that everything is together and easy to take to where she is going to use it. Since then she has received nail varnish at birthdays and Christmas. She is nearly 10, only wears nail varnish occasionally, but loves that she can.

You know, I saw lots of hair clips, bobbles, fancy kirby grips etc in home bargains the other day, they were like 19p and 29p a pack. Not at the shampoo/hair care, they were round at the kids toiletries section, just in case anyone goes looking for them lol! I could do a wee hair basket for her, with a nice hairbrush, hair spray or something similar.

I think I'll try Morrison's tomorrow at lunch time, I have vouchers that I'll need to use for something, so it's 'free money. If I don't see anything I'll do HB after work Friday and do the hair box. Perfect, thank you both xx

    Morning all!

Just checking in as I had a birthday yesterday to tick off my list!

I got my niece's birthday mixed up, its actually next weekend! I bought her an Aquabeads set out of Home bargains, £5.99. Bought two additional add on packs from Amazon, £3.24 and £3.99. So including her lip gloss set and card, £14.72. £7.49 was cash money which I'll deduct from my 'gifts' fund on my annual budget. £7.23 was bought using a gift voucher, so I'm deducting that from my 'money earned and spent' budget :-)

I got a £25 amazon voucher for my christmas and £50 prolific cheque, spent £78-odds the other day on Amazon. Bought a new bathroom tap with my cheque, the Marie Kondo book (yaay! spark my joy!!) a cover for my new tablet and a mascara for myself from my voucher, and the niece's gifts came off the remaining few pounds not spent, so only actually £3odds came out my bank :-) Pretty chuffed with that!
