Heated Throws What's the running costs and are they worth it

Just a thank you to Jackie O and other posters.
I had never heard of a heated throw, but after reading the thread was intrigued. I have had a nasty virus and was spending a lot of time in bed. I ordered a throw, it arrived the following day and it's on the sofa, with me under it. It is lovely.
I was a bit disappointed to read that it was only to be used as an on top, I think it would be even better if it could be sat on, rather like a heated car seat.
I would definitely recommend them.0 -

You can buy heated car seat covers but you would need to buy an adaptor to plug in into as well as they are only 12volt and designed to plug into a car socket0 -

I have one of those adjustable beds and a ripple mattress which you are not allowed an electric blanket with. So duvet on top of mattress then me and a heated throw on the top. I set it at 3 which stops me overheating and for 9 hours. Lovely and cosy. It is pale pink and lovely and soft.0

I got a slightly cheaper grey version of this make from Amazon (£49.99). It does not have the cream bobbly fleece side just the velvety stuff on both sides. Thought it would be easier to wash this way. Love it to bits! Tend to just have it on for a couple of hours in the evening...only takes 5 mins to heat up. Soooo cosy!0
