Under the circumstances (chilly now and no surprise factor) she may not want to wait until your birthday to give it to you!Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Yes they are wonderful, both DDs have arthritic tendancies and I got them heated throws a few years ago which really help them to get moving in the colder weather when they are stiff and sore. I asked for and got one myself for Christmas this year and when the afternoons cool and the heating hasn't clicked in it saves much by being able to snuggle up under the throw with my cup of tea, at a time when I'd be sitting anyway and being warm and comfprtable enough without having to boost the heating, fab things.0

I am indeed blessed with my DDs and they are lovely ladies I only have to wait until next week but I know if it arrives sooner ,especially if the weather gets very chilly DD will deliver it to me
MY DGS Danny's card from the USA arrived this morning with strict instructions on the back not to open until the day

We have had a Dreamland Relaxwell Alaskan Husky faux fur throw on the sofa since the Autumn. We do not have safe/ functional room heating at present so the flat is around 14C in this weather (courtesy of the neighbouring units).
The throw is switched on at level 3 of 5 virtually all the time. Level 4 caused the cat to overheat a couple of times and fling herself on the cold floor! Not the throw's fault, mine for letting her fall asleep on my lap with two layers of heated throw between us.
The only down side is laundering: the throw needs a wool type wash, low spin. Then you have to stretch it back to size/ shape regularly whilst it either drips dry or is tumble dried on cool. Being quite thick and large this is bit of an awkward process.

I’ve now had a borrowed heated throw for a week. When my heating problems are sorted out, I’ll give it back - and buy one for precisely the reasons MrsLurcherwalker has given.0

I have had the Amazon heated throw for a year or so after I put it on my gift list as I have friends who love theirs. I don't use it all that often , mostly a crocheted blanket is enough to keep me warm when I sit, but it has been invaluable for those really chilly days where you just can't seem to get warm or sometimes when I've been out in the cold and got chilled through. An hour or so under the heated throw is absolute bliss and then 'normal service can resume' .
It's nice to know it's available for the time when our ancient boiler finally gives up too.Decluttering, 20 mins / day Jan 2024 2/20 -

I haven’t got a heated throw, they sound amazing, but I do have a lovely big fleece that OH got me for my birthday last year. I tend to use a hot water bottle inside my fleece before I wrap myself up in it!0

I saw a one on sale today at Lidl for GBP29.99, 6 heat settings and guaranteed for 3 years. I gave it some thought but put it down - washing it seems a bit too much of a hassle. My Crofton House blankest are half the price are really very warm and have lasted for years.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!
