The Grandchildren are lucky not like us when we were young. They do not spend the money they are given it goes direct to a Junior ISA, The whole idea is to buy something different and give security if they needed a emergency fund in the future.
Re the post of dealers posting. I would always check and double check before parting with any cash. I had done a check of the company mentioned and happy that someone took the trouble to reply and say they have dealt with them in the past this just confirms my own home work. Thank you all.0 -

Any sensible person would always check but unfortunately not everyone does.
A quick read of the consumer rights and praise, vents and warnings forum will throw up plenty of examples where people have paid money to companies and private individuals without doing any basic checks first.
This is why any company should only post once the MSE team have verified them as being legit.0 -
