Thats a pain, does anyone know if I can make a special request as I am the main career for our 5 year old and my other half is disabled?

Yes but you really DO NOT want Poole Court, who are considered biased towards parking firms due to an alleged (too close) family connection between one local parking firm there and the judiciary.

However Nottingham makes no sense for you.

What about another court within reach, write to the Nottingham Court Manager and point out the error in Allocation, and ask for xxx court (within reach of you) and hope they adjust it.

Blimey that is shocking that there is a biased towards them! I have put my request in to Nottingham for an alternative and have suggested Weymouth or half between us which is Oxford way.

Just started preparing all required docs i.e WS and costs, and just based on 1 day and my mileage (approx. £200)and the legal/ stationary costs its going to be over £400, is there a limit/ guide to what can be claimed?

Edited to say just read Bargepoles post of £95 per day max for loss of earnings!

There are two types of costs claims, on the 'standard basis' or on the 'indemnity basis' (no ceiling, within reason).

The second type of costs schedule applies if you can paint a picture that the Claimant has acted wholly unreasonably in the course of this litigation, and you'd need to file & serve that nice juicy costs schedule in advance.

Did you miss the two examples of costs schedules I linked in the NEWBIES thread, including sassii's four figure one, achieved & granted by a Judge on the indemnity basis?

Please can someone clarify if they cancel on or before the set date how do I go about getting my expenses back? Do I apply directly to the court? Do I issue a counter claim? I have calculated there is fair amount of time been utilised replying and dealing with this so really want it to go all the way.

How long between cancellation and court date please?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
