I have seen some other threads including KeithP refers to and this is the same railway station.

My PCN IS from Parking Eye. Payment instructions on it give address as ParkingEye, PO Box 565, Chorley, PR6 6HT.

The car park I refer to is a plot of land directly adjacent to and on the same side as the railway entrance.
There is some parking space on the road up which you have to drive before turning right into this adjacent area. Maybe the signage I mention with APCOA on refers to these spaces and NOT the spaces adjacent to the station.
This is very unclear signage in my opinion and my trip there tomorrow I will use a dash cam to records what a driver does and does not see!
  • I would suggest that the land you parked on was not the land you think you parked on

you need to return , take pics and look for any PE signage

    Does this video help:

Looks like you parked in PE's car park, but thought the 'first 20 mins free' APCOA term applied.

Aha, interesting! I was convinced you must have an easy APCOA one...

Take some photos to show how the APCOA signs can be seen from the parking space, and/or how it isn't clear where one set of terms/company ends and the other starts.

Next time, park in the APCOA area as they are a cinch to beat re any PCN, ever!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Although it's dark in the video and I think the video starts part way up the road and does not show the entrance from the main street, I believe that is the same parking area for which I have received the PCN from ParkingEye!
After my visit tomorrow, is there a way I can post links in this thread or not?

Whatever the company is, it is still probably a scam., and it is the will of Parliament that these scammers, (very often former clampers), be put out of business.

Hopefully that will take place in the near future. The Bill has passed through the HOC without hitch, and goes to the Lords soon. In the meantime involve your MP, the poor dears are buckling under the weight of complaints about these scammers.

This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of alleged contracts for alleged parking offences, aided and abetted by a handful of low-rent solicitors. Is has been suggested by an MP that some of these companies may have connections to organised crime.

Parking Eye, CPM, Smart, (especially Smart}, and others have already been named and shamed in the House of Commons as have Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court each week), hospital car parks and residential complex tickets have been especially mentioned. They lose most of them, and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an M.P. for unprofessional conduct

The problem has become so widespread that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers.

Sir Greg Knight's Private Members Bill to curb the excesses, and perhaps close down, some of these companies passed its Third Reading in late November, and, with a fair wind, will become Law next year.

All three readings are available to watch on the internet, (some 6-7 hours), and published in Hansard. MPs have an extremely low opinion of the industry. Many are complaining that they are becoming overwhelmed by complaints from members of the public. Add to their burden, complain in the most robust terms about the scammers.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

Yes, use a hosting site (tinypic, imgur) and post a broken link such as: -
hxxps://etc and someone will fix it for you.
