Good morning, It's bitterly cold here, but bright. We had some snow yesterday, and it's still lying at our end of the street, where it's open opposite us.
Did my jobs yesterday, not much on today except the usual tidying, and visiting a friend tonight.
You've done so well with your weight loss Dumpling.
Kitty, you did well also - 14000 steps!! Anglesey is lovely isn't it. We went there a couple of years ago whilst caravanning in N Wales with one of our Dgs's.
Thinking of the sad and poorly, thinking of everyone in fact, as we all go about our days
Take care folks0 -
Taff - just a a quick reply...mum has lost access to frequencies rather than volume. Shouting doesn't help, neither do hearing aids. She went to audiology in the last few months and even private companies have confirmed they can't help with her particular problem. Thanks anyway.0

Morning everyone, what a cold morning! Our house is reasonably warm as DS forgot to switch the heating off when he went up. When I got up at 3 it was blasting out tropical heat so I've turned it right down - normally it would go off until the afternoon but not today. The more arthritic buts of me are busily informing me of the weather though I do know.
I have not much tidying to do, I had a major onslaught earlier in the week so it really is just a quick hustle and bustle but the hard floors could do with a scrub.
CRANKY we seem to be following each other, I've just made a hat for a friend, need to calculate for mitts too as the yarn is unusual and thicker than I'd normally use.
OH has just come down and been sent out for milk for me - -the corner shop doesn't stock skimmed so semi will have to do. He has full fat which I don't like atall, reminds me of free school milk which you were not allowed to leave - and I really am not a milk drinker. Not too bad in winter but in summer it was horrid.
Thinking about all those who are struggling.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0 -
Morning all form mehefinland
Cold and dank here with spitty rain yuk! The mares aren't keen , nor Sally lab either! Bruisemare is not taking kindly to reduced rations. Her haynet as been on the floor several times this week with her leaving a message on it IYKWIM. Might just be that its a new net and the slippyness of the rope hasn't worn off yet. Modern ones are all polywhatsit and shiny.
We have a new CO-OP in the village that opened last week. Going to see them today to see if I can get our library (Charity run by volunteers) included on their donations thing. The branch in the nearest town gave £3500 to the scouts last year so worth a try. Wont be that much here as its only a little shop but any monies help towards keeping the library open.
Enjoying the peace whilst DS away in West Wales.
Hugs and spoons to those in need

Good morning all
Long time since I've been on the boards with one thing and another but going to try to get back into it.
Working from home today and it's bitterly cold so will attempt to take on de-icing the freezer later and will pack the food up into boxes and leave in the shed while I do it - there's very little chance of it de-frosting out there! :rotfl:
Already changed the bed and then planning a weekend of tidying and decluttering...been inspired by various other blogs and such-like so wish me luck!Anywhere is within walking distance - if you have the time!!0 -
Update for mehefinland
1 its persisting down
2 manager at Co op very helpful and supportive. Downside is that the fund is locked to new applicants until October/November. However he did offer other means of support in the meantime which will investigate further. Worth getting wet for lol
Nanny - have you got snow up there in the hills?

Morning all, another one in the sleepless club

We are having snow flurries, but it's not sticking thank goodness as we are going to take DD to hospital this afternoon for a consultant appointment. Mr Fix It will drive us as the parking can be hit or miss, so he can drop us off and then try to find a parking space.
Not a lot going on here this morning but I shall cut Mr Fix It's hair in a minute, so it'll be a short back and sides, a beard trim and a finally a polish on top :rotfl:. Then it's out with the hoover again !
I haven't a clue as to what we will have for tea as I don't know what time we will be back, anyway there is plenty to choose from in the cupboards and freezer.
Right, I must go and get "Sir" ready in the salon :rotfl:.
Take care all, keep warm and safe today. Hugs to anyone who is in need.
