Be careful on the exercise until signed off by doctor.

    Good luck with the developments.

  • Thanks, SH. I got my all clear from the Dr although I still can't jump all in, of course. I need to slowly work my way back. But I got my Black Friday weight set already. It's one of those dial smart sets that you can select how much weight you want. I love it and it goes all the way to 50lbs. Ha, I'm not even close to that yet but at least now I'm fully equipped.

Mortgage payment went out. Balance is 10,415.00. This is it. Getting giddy/nervous but ready to make it happen. Next week I'll pay another 2500.00 and then by NYE I should pay 5k. I can pay the rest the first weeks of January after transferring my I-Bonds to my account.

Got my bath remodel balance down to 2300.00. Staring to gain momentum on paying it off.

Black Friday shopping. My year end bonus won't be less than 415.00 so I bought the weight set and my dream pair of boots from L'Artiste in navy blue. Definitely treating myself after the crazy painful year I've had. Will also probably pick up some jewelry and plants. Can never have too much of those. After this it's back to hunkering down and staying focused for the project ahead. Mr. LoM needs to semiretire yesterday so we must make this work.

  • Woke at 4 AM and did not get back to sleep. I am so tired.

After making the OP, I did a 30min workout with Sydney Cummings on YouTube and used my new weight set for the first time. Love it and felt so strong and accomplished.

My Black Friday boots arrived last night and I absolutely love them. They fit perfectly and I can't wait to walk around town in them.

Lunch/dinner today was Hasselback sweet potatoes stuffed with sausage and egg on the side. I just call it hash and mash as I wanted something simple.

It is so hard for me to nap once I'm up but maybe I'll try in a little bit as this early wakeup is awful. I'm definitely taking the sleep aid tonight.

Woohoo definitely getting towards the home stretch now. How exciting.

Hope your sleep improves soon. I'm really struggling with insomnia too.

Mortgage Balance as of July 2025 £14,900.
Starting Mortgage Balance (June 2019) £72,000.
Aiming to be mortgage free by my 40th birthday, June 2026!
  • Thanks, Northwales, Tahlullah, Saving, and Jessy. It hasn't hit me yet. I think I'm still in shock that it's becoming more real.

Survey came back and we walked the lot. We're going to take it. It's a wooded lot so the house will look like a nice cozy bungalow/cabin nestled in the forest. We should close in 2 weeks. And not a minute too soon. Mr. LoM finished the job he was working on and is home now on pain meds and sleeping. He gets a pain injection tmrw that should help. A more stepped-back approach to work is just what he needs.

Time to start thinking of how to celebrate mortgage freedom. Probably a great road trip. 😁
