Lovely day - NRM in the AM, supermarket for a lazy tea in the afternoon, McDonalds treat for lunch and then an afternoon spent treating the kids for nits! Oh I'm so rock'n'roll!

Spent £90 today on nit-treatments, pizzas, various different bits I needed to stock up on, and fast food!

Never mind....it needed doing and I have food in for the next 2-3 days so don't actually need to do my tesco order this week....although I may do it tomorrow for a Saturday delivery but just pare it down to reflect the 'it's only 4 days' ness of my week :D

Paid my rent in full for next month, and tomorrow I'm hoping to to get a big chunk paid but not sure in what proportions so will sort that tomorrow morning once I have sorted the kids out - I've had the treatment on since 2.30, so will be having a shower at 10.30 to nit-comb my hair out!

Another £231 paid today - would have loved to pay a bit more but with yesterday's expenses it just wont work and would leave us too short to do everything we had planned etc. Still, all the rent is paid for March in full and on time for the first time in 6 months (I normally have to pay a chunk and then another later in the month which is a struggle....not this month :D)

I also paid a big chunk off the CT like I said I would (£253 to be exact) - the reason the payment is £231 is because the elec usage for this week *I don't pay elec or water on rent weeks* balances it out. Going to call them around the 14th to sort my CT bill out for next year.

Only thing left outstanding is hubby's CC - I need to log on and see what his min payment is and I will pay that this week so that's done. I am slightly annoyed as our progress does seem to have slowed a bit - I blame half terms and things - but I hope that I can keep things frugal for the next couple of weeks to make up for it! :o EDIT: min payment is £22 due by the 11th.

Tesco order done to be delivered Saturday afternoon - £47. Had to be a bit 'dull' in the meal choices but we've had a lot of indulgence this week and I think it will be good for us to have veggie burgers and omelettes for a bit of a change of pace.

Feeling a lot more positive today - it's March now and I know that I can do it!! :D Also the veggie curry I made last night from all my 'about to be thrown out' veg was excellent - so excellent hubby had seconds which is virtually unheard of when it comes to anything not involving meat! May have to add that to the rotation.

Done my meal plan for the week and made sure I have everything and apart from running out of toilet roll this morning (I thought we had more in the cupboard but I was wrong) we're doing ok.

Plan for today - more washing and put all the dry away (it's starting to pile up which is bad) and I need to give the house a bit of a spruce up, then I think a trip to the soft play after lunch. Nice free little wear-out time for the kids :D

2nd day of March and I'm feeling fine! :D Bank account isn't but there's 'enough' in there to see us through and that's all that's important.

Today's plan - rest up a bit as feeling a bit rough this morning. I rang the Dr's to collect my test results to be told my TSH is 43 (should be below 2!) and that I urgently needed to pick up my prescription. I could have told you that without the test, as I had run out last week, rang in Monday to ask for this month's tablets and I was told that I couldn't have them as I needed a blood test. As I had run out completely, my test results were bound to show I was out of whack.....I'll be honest, wasn't expecting a result quite that high!....so now I have to wait until Monday (so have been without my meds for 11 days!) to pick up my new prescription and then a new blood test in 6 weeks. Thing is that about 3 weeks ago I was feeling really bad...I had a cold, then I had a few other niggly health things and I mentioned to hubby that I thought I was having a flare.....thing is the Dr's wont treat a flare, wont even test it, you just have to ride it out. So I did, but the flare side effects are forgetfulness and I forgot to check my repeat prescription until I had already run out and by that time it was too late! Catch 22. I've just taken the simple way out...taken the blame with the Dr, have booked another blood test for 6 weeks and will go from there. If it's still majorly out then, the Dr may actually take me seriously!!

Anyway, Tesco order arriving today. Eldest is off to play at a friend's house for the morning so I'm down to 2. I may just sit myself in front of the TV for a while and enjoy the relative peace.

Peace didn't last long. I think everyone woke up with their volume set to 11! Eldest was collected by his friend's mum and I immediately got the younger two dressed and we headed to the local soft-play to use our passes. One hour on there (barely anyone in there!) and they were shattered so we came home, eldest was dropped back and we had 'dippy eggs' for lunch as Tesco will be arriving after 4pm....only problem with flexi slots but for a Saturday it was very cheap lol.

Kitchen is sorted and kids are playing on the ps3. We watched 'The Good Dinosaur' after lunch - I love that movie and it's the first time we've watched it on our big swanky TV we treated ourselves to for Xmas. Fabulous picture quality! I'm exhausted but I think I can make it to the end of the day - especially in the knowledge we have spicy bean burgers on the menu for tea....I LURVE them!! :D

Rest of the week meals are:
Saturday - Burgers/Bean Burgers for the grown ups
    Sunday - Sausage 'roast' dinner
Monday - Fish, chips and mushy peas
Tuesday - Jackets and Beans - Pancake day
    Wednesday - Burgers.....again! :D

Just back from the cinema with the kids - saw Ralph Breaks the Internet on the mini-mornings and it was brilliant. Snack packs went down a treat. Kids have requested popcorn in them for next time so will get some mini-packs in to try them out. Only cost £10 plus about £4 of snacks for 4 of us....bargain!

In other news we're looking at booking some breaks for the summer. We have our one in May booked - 4 nights in Scotland costing £88 total. Electric hookup, full holiday camp experience, indoor pool etc. Really looking forward to it...hoping the weather will be half decent but not holding my breath lol.

Looking at hubby's holidays/long weekends we have 3 lots of time in July/Aug to do anything. Fiest weekend of the holidays (Fri19th July-Monday22nd) we're now booked to go down to Somerset to see MIL. All being well the Sunday we'll have a trip to Stonehenge to really get some use out of our EH membership plus the kids are really jazzed to see it thanks to Go Jetters! :D Next time we have is 18th-13th August so we're looking at camping that weekend - 4 nights at a fishing lakes complex about 3 hours drive from our house. Bargain at £76 including Electric. Only additional would be fishing permits which would cost about £30 tops for the 3 days. Then we have the last week of the holidays which is earmarked for a trip down to Dorset....we love it down there. Struggling to find somewhere in a decent location at a good price so may have to contact the place we stayed at last year and go there again. It was beautiful and I don't think any of us would mind....it's just a little way from the seaside (about 30 mins drive) but it's about £10-£15 a night cheaper than the seaside sites! Only issue is we can only do 7 nights max and it's a long old way for just a week. We'll see, I'm booking the fishing trip this week I think...deposit is only £10 so can definitely afford it and would be lovely to have something booked in for the summer! :D

As for the rest of today - eldest is currently doing his homework ready to go back to school tomorrow and the kids are all worn out from an early start today. Back to school tomorrow....they're all so upset by that. But only 6 weeks and then we've got 2 whole weeks off! Woohoo!!
