Sorry to bring this up and I'm a bit too lazy to trawl threads to find the solution. Especially after setting everything up again on this laptop!
I've had to reset my computer and as a result lost the Firefox add on with which it was possible to fill the screen rather than a third of it with this silly layout.
I'm sure it was in this thread somewhere. I've already looked though a few pages with out success.
Can anyone help?

Assuming you're using the Green theme, install uBlock Origin and then add these to the My Filters tab in Options:
forums.moneysavingexpert.com###MSEForumsRHS forums.moneysavingexpert.com###forum_top_1336472146 forums.moneysavingexpert.com###MSEResourceBar forums.moneysavingexpert.com###theWrapper forums.moneysavingexpert.com###footer forums.moneysavingexpert.com##.forum_container:style(width: 99% !important)
If you only want to make it stretch to the whole width and want to retain the rest of the page elements, you only need to add the last line.0 -
That worked perfectly. Yes, it is just the width.
Thanks very much.:)
Would it work for other sites too? If so how can it be achieved?0 -
Yes it will work. How it is achieved depends on how the site is constructed ... you need to determine the page object that defines the width, then create a Filter similar to that last line which references that page object.
(The object/styleclass in MSE's case is .forum_container).0
