Javid promising a significant economic policy response to a no-deal brexit.
I'm hoping to be given a promise of a tax cut. That'll go nicely with the promise of a brexit dividend.
Keeps the dullards on board I suppose.0 -

And a couple of years down the road there will be massive austerity to get the inevitable unsustainable debt down, like 2010 inevitably followed the tax cuts and spending of 2008.
And all those on low income and the old, who voted Leave, will inevitably be the worst hit by austerity...I hope they remember then how they called everyone else snowflakes for not wanting to go over the cliff....A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step

I think it may be unconscious. As in, it's so 'blindingly obvious' to the media luvvies that Brexit will be a disaster/Armageddon/disturb their pleasant way of life that everything they hear, think or say is through a Remainer prism without the need for conscious thought.
Yes could be, there also seems to be deliberately thought out agendas and narratives as well though...0 -

Interesting reference as the public voted for boaty macboatface and didn’t get their democratic vote implemented.
Maybe it was advisory only?0 -

One of the submersibles on the ship has been called Boaty McBoatface BTW but using that example out of sheer desperation to somehow deny Brexit goes to show that the denial really does get more than a little bit silly at times.0
